No matter which deity is uppermost in my mind at any time, I generally always believe subconsciously that I will still be there somewhere after I am dead. Does everyone agree and feel the same way, or is there anyone who truly thinks they will cease to exist after death?

We cannot imagine ourselves not existing.

I'm not sure what happens after death. There is compelling evidence on both sides that would state that either our consciousness continues or our consciousness dissappears.
All I know, is that we will never know for sure until we're dead, so it's better we enjoy the life we have now than to prepare for something that my not come.

I feel that when you die you will sleep
you will not know anything
until God calls us home

Very likely so.

The Bible states that God has "placed eternity in our hearts".

Cordially,
John
