Yea, as if you know what they're life is like. Look, bigots, it's not affecting you or anyone else in any way, it's consentual, they're adults, they can think for themselves.

Got any good reasons why not? Oh, and don't you DARE throw a Bible quote at me. I am so fed up with religious zealots who actually think theyre opinion and theyre belief system has any rational, legal, or moral right to interfere with someone else's RIGHT TO HAPPINESS. It's consentual sex. Most pedophilia is not, sex with animals is not, therefore any marriage is illegitimate. But consentual love between two adult humans warrants rights to marriage for me.

Oh, sorry that it doesn't procreate. Sorry that it's 'perversion'. Yea, well don't pretend that the church is moral. How many priests have molested children. What religion looted, raped, and destroyed towns during the Crusades. What religion burned hundreds of innocent women and men, saying they were witches. Christianity.

Please, email me at aaykoh@yahoo.com

I'd love to hear an answer that stems from rationality and reasoning. I just dare you to not refer to your religion, and refer to an ACTUAL LEGAL REASON.

Please.

Sorry for the little rant, I don't hate Christianity or ALL Christians, but it gets tiring after a while. There are great, nice, compassionate Christians who actually live Jesus' message (oh, and how amazing is this--I'm a Wiccan, and, I too, agree with Jesus and follow him! *gasp*.

Then there are bible belt bigots/jerks/people who use the religion to control others, including their children.

Ever heard of Christmas? "Do everything I say or you don't get any presents from Santa Claus!" What happened to unconditional, unselfish love? Sheesh.

Sorry. Endless ranting.

Oh, and another thing. The Vatican has no legal authority. Sorry. It's not the boss.

And what's all this 'sanctity of marriage' crap? Since when was marriage sacred for most people? It's LESS sacred when it's denied to so many people who deserve it. I'd feel guilty getting married when my brother can't marry the love of his life!

It's called a rant, THAT'S anger management, k?

I never said everyone was against it. Just the mainstream, and most conservative, fundamentalist types.

Hello, the whole point of daring people to answer without using the bible is because I DO want to hear their viewpoints.

And they are bigots, most of them, not all of course, because they turn around and do immoral things after critisizing others, because, guess what, they're humans, and humans are sinful beasts.

chritsmas is a Pagan holiday and part of it the xmas tree was based on phalic worship.
Christianity at least in principle originated with clonoing and genetic engineering and there must have been incest as well for the subsequent ofspring to make sense
if there is anything at all that makes sense in this collection of borrowed conflicting and fabricated stories that is the base for a hypocritical religion .if ever there was a incompetent god ,it was this one judging by the followers.
they have had a war on everything that is Nature or Natural

and sex plays a LARGE ROLE IN THIS ,in all cultures before Christianity almost all of human social behaviour as long as it remained reasonable was excepted.

the Christian faith sees wrong in just about everything
even Mary had a child with out having sex ,and sex became not a pleasure but a nessesity to reproduce ,how boring.

too many people are concerned with what other people do .
instead of concentrating on their own behaviour

as far as the church goes they are the last who have the moral right to be judges of human behaviour .
bomming inocent women and children on the other side of the world is with the blessing of their leaders.

and more violence and terror has walked hand in hand with this doctrine than anything else.

true democracy is freedom for all even those who are not the same as you are .it takes strength to be tolerant ,and it works both ways just dont interfere with other peoples freedom if they dont interfere with your life or affect or try to affect or upset your space and the people who are with you

so the logical bottom line is do what you like ,but ,and a very big but --be prepared to face up to the consequences if you hurt or molest anybody or their kids

you can marry your horse for all i care .as long as the horse agrees.

Society has every right to set standards that most of the people agree with. That is called DEMOCRACY!

What makes you think that everyone that does not agree with you is a bigot?

I am not going to quote the bible, but why do you say DARE, don't you dare if that is what they believe?

Don't give me your viewpoints you say, you are a bigot, you say.

How about letting people answer as they want and listening to their point, check the spelling on their, whether or not you agree with it.

What gay person raped and killed a child? Oh, some did and all gays are just like that?

Some churches are corrupt, but you want your cake and you want to eat it also. Some churches are not corrupt and wonderful places to gather and share love.

You pose a question with the caveat that anyone that does not agree with your point of view is a bigot.

Shows me you are full of hate and so very shallow you can not tolerate anyone that does not think like you.

But hopefully you will change. Sorry, this is democracy and not everyone gets to do anything they like that makes them happy.

Right or wrong, the majority of the country decides what behavior is acceptable or not and then makes laws and rules to enforce those rules society has deemed appropriate.

Stop the ranting and hateful words, listen politely even when you disagree and the world will be a better place.

You don't need a dog license for a fish. (Unless you are a looney)

Monty Python

Praline:
(John) Hello, I would like to buy a fish license, please.
Man:
(Michael) A what?
Praline: A license for my pet fish, Eric.
Man: How did you know my name was Eric?
Praline: No no no, my fish's name is Eric, Eric the fish. He's an halibut.
Man: What?
Praline: He is...an...halibut.
Man: You've got a pet halibut?
Praline: Yes. I chose him out of thousands. I didn't like the others, they were all too flat.
Man: You must be a looney.
Praline: I am not a looney! Why should I be attired with the epithet looney merely because I have a pet halibut? I've heard tell that Sir Gerald Nabardo has a pet prawn called Simon - you wouldn't call him a looney - furthermore, Dawn Pailthorpe, the lady show-jumper, had a clam, called Stafford, after the late Chancellor, Allan Bullock has two pikes, both called Chris, and Marcel Proust had an haddock! So, if you're calling the author of 'A la recherche du temps perdu' a looney, I shall have to ask you to step outside!
Man: Alright, alright, alright. A license.
Praline: Yes.
Man: For a fish.
Praline: Yes.
Man: You are a looney.
Praline: Look, it's a bleeding pet, isn't it? I've got a license for me pet dog Eric, and I've got a license for me pet cat Eric...
Man: You don't need a license for your cat.
Praline: I bleeding well do and I got one. He can't be called Eric without it--
Man: There's no such thing as a bloody cat license.
Praline: Yes there is!
Man: Isn't!
Praline: Is!
Man: Isn't!
Praline: I bleeding got one, look! What's that then?
Man: This is a dog license with the word 'dog' crossed out and 'cat' written in, in crayon.
Praline: The man didn't have the right form.
Man: What man?
Praline: The man from the cat detector van.
Man: The looney detector van, you mean.
Praline: Look, it's people like you what cause unrest.
Man: What cat detector van?
Praline: The cat detector van from the Ministry of Housinge.
Man: Housinge?
Praline: It was spelt like that on the van. I'm very observant! I never seen so many bleeding aerials. The man said that their equipment could pinpoint a purr at four hundred yards! And Eric, being such a happy cat, was a piece of cake.
Man: How much did you pay for this?
Praline: Sixty quid, and eight for the fruit-bat.
Man: What fruit-bat?
Praline: Eric the fruit-bat.
Man: Are all your pets called Eric?
Praline: There's nothing so odd about that: Kemal Ataturk had an entire menagerie called Abdul!
Man: No he didn't!
Praline: Did!
Man: Didn't!
Praline: Did, did, did, did, did and did!
Man: Oh, all right.
Praline: Spoken like a gentleman, sir. Now, are you going to give me a fish license?
Man: I promise you that there is no such thing: you don't need one.

It's not a matter of having a right to "approve" of other people's marriages. It has to do with a desire to maintain the historical definition of words and to resist the tide of moral relativism that is sweeping across this country and causing harm in many subtle ways.

No, it doesn't affect me personally if two men live together in a monogamous relationship and want to tell other people that they are "married". But it does effect our society when words that have had a particular meaning have that meaning changed in the name of political correctness and "tolerance". It's just not right to tell children that departing from the tradition of marriage which is one of the foundations of social unity and moral excellence is a great idea because we have become so much wiser than those generations who came before us.

In this country we have the individual right to seek happiness as you have pointed out. Gay people can and have started churches and they have every right to perform marriage ceremonies in those places. But demanding that our government overturn centuries of law and tradition and tacitly give their "stamp of approval" to that personal decision goes beyond the bounds of personal rights.

First of all, Yoiu've got a helluva lot of gall calling me immoral because of someone else's sins. Don't pass judgement on me or anyone else unless you know what you're saying. GOD loves the sinner but hates the sin. It's our sins that separate us from HIM. And that leads to a lot of unhappiness in our lives. I'm sorry you hate Christians, but you simply do NOT understand GOD's word. Yes, priests have molested children, but they will pay the price in the end, unless they ask GOD's forgiveness. And Yes, there is sin in the Church. Why is that? Because it's full of sinners-- Care to join us?

People judge what can I say. And my judgment about you is that you sound like my ex, sorry. I'm a Christian and homosexual, haven't actually committed the sin for a while now though(which is no ones business). But you kind of confuse me. I'm lost oh man.

i like what dolly parton said, they have the right to be as miserable as the straight people. some of us are witches and were then too. such is life. church nuts are so scared of everything because they buy into hell, and its just something to keep them in line. sad isnt it.
