Talk to your counselor at school. He or she will help you.

If you don't feel comfortable talking to your parents then there is other options. In your community there should be many resources that can help you with this social anxiety problem. Some resources offer walk in clinics that can be free or based on a sliding scale (depending on how much you make). There are always 100% confidential and you parents do not need to be there. I would just call around to different places that offer counselling and see what they offer. Hope this helps!

Sometimes parents really become apathetic and completely indifferent about their kids...but only when they can see that their children can still handle the situation. Just try to think that you are having a great time with your life; that they trust you so much in getting over your problems...be strong. Sometimes the devil uses your weakness to completly overthrow you.

there are some parents who are over protective, there are others who prefer to see and wait, but whenever they see their son/daughter unable to handle a situation, they will be there. ...maybe your parents are like these. ...I suggest you to communicate with them, sincerely, openly, and trying to express in a mature way your real feelings and concerns. ...And dont expect to hear what you want they to say, but listen what they have to tell you ...There´re a lot of counselors, etc. that´s only another sign of modern life (100yrs ago, they didnt exist) ...but it will only be just a couple of parents until the day you die, so just follow the rules: learn from them while you can, ask for their help only when you really need it...

Maybe your school counselor or a teacher that you trust. Or someone else in your family like an aunt or an uncle. Usually they can provide the best advice. Good luck!

You could research in online to find out more about it, but seriously, I think you should consider the option of a shrink.

to help you understand the differences.

without a therapist (psychiatrist or psychologist ) it is going to be hard to find someone who understands the distinctive symptoms enough that they WON'T say you are just shy, or you are just introverted.

Talk to your family doctor. If he/she believes you have a problem that is more than normal teenage anxiety they can refer you.

I'd agree with family doctor. Then they can refer you. Or give you a prescription.
