My puppy has diarhea now. Is he allergic to his new food? He hasnt eating the whole day. not even the old food. should i take him to see a vet or is he gonna be ok by tomorrow?

Ok, i just got back from the vet. They say he has a fever. The vet gave him shots and told me to feed him some wet puppy food. The vet also said that who ever i got the puppy from, separated him from his mother too young. I just got him 3 days ago and the breeder told me he is 8 weeks old. Is that too young?

Diarrhea is devastating in young pups. You should certainly get him to the vet if he isn't eating and has diarrhea. they can go beyond help so very quickly. It is NOT the new food.
I promise you, you won't be sorry if you take him, but will most likely be sorry if you don't.

It sounds like you just got him, if the diarrhea is moslty liquid he needs to get to a vet soon. How is he acting? Are there any other problems? Not eating for a whole day is a concern with a young puppy, the diarrhea makes things worse. Diarrhea can cause dehydration rapidly and can be a sign of a much worse problem.
How long have you had him? How old is he? How is he behaving? Are his gums pink or pale? Has he thrown up at all? Is drinking water?

Do not wait and see! Dehydration, parvo, worms...the pup needs a vet exam, diagnosis, and treatment.

Is he drinking anything?Has he used the bathroom?If he has,check to see if there is any blood in it.My chihuahua started acting the same way,then came to find out he had parvo.The vet had me give him alittle pepto and some lime gatorade and take him straight to his office.I lucked up and they saved my baby,but you have to get him there soon,today or you will be paying over $2000.00 like I am.I was told if I would have waited 1 hour longer he would not have made it.He had to stay in the hospital for 8 days with IV's running through him. If your puppy isnt drinkin water along with not eating and has been lifeless he or she might have parvo take to vet asap its deadly to puppies.maybe it has worms we could maybe all day just take to vet.good luck.let us know how puppy turned out.

i would try to get him to eat tonight and if he's still not eating tommorrow a vet visit is probably a good idea
also you can try giving him a piece of cheese with about a teaspoon of maalox if he'll eat it, if he doesn't have his shots that could be a reason also

Go get him checked out. That parvo can be quick and deadly. I bet it wont cost you much and better safe then sorry.
I herd that some breeds get this easier then others?
