I think the verse the men you talked to was talking about is
Lo! Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O you who believe, send blessings on him and salute him with a worthy salutation. Qur'an 33:56
This is in relation to the (SAW) that you often see appended to the end of the prophets name.. ie Muhammad (SAW) standing for
Sallahu Alayhi Wasalam ..also (PBUH)
This is not praying but blessing him with praises.. so no its not praying.
The same is done to Abraham in the islamic prayer. by saying
Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala 'aali Muhammadin, kama salaiyta 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala 'aali Ibrahima innaka Hamidun Majeed.
meaning
O Allah! Let Your Blessings come upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You Blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Verily You are the Pariseworthy Glorious.
It is advised to also send the send peace and blessing on the prophets other than Muhammad. al-Bayhaqi reports that Abu Hurayrah said that the Prophet Muhammad said:
Send the Salat on Allah's messengers and prophets for Allah sent them as He sent me.

Wasn't it true that the quran was written by one man like 2000yrs or more after the bible? So if I locked myself in a room and claimed god came to me and we must now follow such and such rules and laws people would start to follow me? Whats sad is that some actually would just by me saying it, even though I had absolutely NO proof.....just like all books of religion, none have any proof that the "story" is true. If something happened to earth and 200yrs from now people found books hell they might think Paul Bunyon was God

I dont think that god prayed to Mohamed. Plus the Muslim god is called Allah. Mohamed was just his prophet, so i would say no.

u have said that but u have not given any refernce or is it that u dont have one? i want u to show me where in the quran, which surah and which verse has said that. if u are thruthful to the Lord u follow or atleast are thruthful to urself , then give me a reference.
do not trust the words of a man, indeed the one who carries hate will spread hate.. there are many people here who have given me a wronf references of quran who have given me wrong references of haidth and who bad mouth my religion. but i have only one thing to say.
ALLAH IS A BETTER JUDGE THAN ME. ALLAH IS ALL-KNOWING AND ALL-WISE AND NO ONE AND NO DEED IS HIDDEN FROM HIM.
may the peace and blessings of Allah be with u and may He guide u in the right path and forgive ur sins.
