Taking a life is the most selfish act. Even suicide is an act of selfishness.

We live in a society all about self, easy way out of trouble, etc.

I agree with you, that people that have abortions make poor choices, based on selfish desire and are taking an innocent life.

It comes down to this, I am a loving mother of 2 great children who if it was my choice I would of had 8. I work in a kindergarten surrounded by young souls. But when it comes down to freedome of choice I honestly believe it is the Mothers choice to have or have not. I was placed in that position when I was only 24 I am now 40. I must say I did contact a clinic because I couldnt bear what I was going to hear from my mother and those around me. Even though I was with the man I would eventually marry. When it came down to scheduling an abortion I was told I was far along and it was going to take 2 days. I said to myself "defiantly not". I am just glad that I was given the decision or the choice to make my own decision as to what I was going to do. I think life is a lesson and I learned alot about myself that day. I think that is what we are put on this earth for. Is to learn. So therefore I believe we should have the right to choose what path we will take. I took the right one
FOR ME, but it not my right to make a decision for someone else and their lifes path.
God bless

If only life were so simple.
What about young girls that get pregnant by rape? Should they be subjected to a humiliating pregnancy, furthering their abuse?
What about victims of rape that uncommonly but sometimes do get pregnant by their attackers?
What about when the mother's life is at risk?
What about the babies that are in utero so malformed they will die anyway after a short and painful life?

I am against abortion as a method of birth control, but you have to realize that there are circumstances when ending a pregnancy can be the kind thing to do. I pray for the babies whose lives are snuffed out by abortion, but it is not my place to judge the mothers, nor is it your or anyone else's place.
I hope that when men can start taking birth control pills or birth control shots the abortion rate will drop... some women seem to be pretty cavalier about getting pregnant and changing their minds about it later....and aborting babies. I do think it is murder, but I am still pro-choice....because you never know what the circumstances are. What goes around comes around...and women who chose to have abortions because it is more convenient for them at the time, whose babies could be fine...they will answer for it someday, but not to me,and not to you...

I'm a person who believes in the sanctity of all human life. But I have a real dilemma with how most Christians treat abortions.

They want a woman not to have sex outside of marriage but if she does and gets pregnant, she needs to keep the pregnancy. But here is the kicker and where we disagree.

When the baby is born, we want either for the mother to give up the baby for adoption or figure out how to raise this child without state aid or expecting a handout from anyone.

To me, that is just as bad.

If we expect a woman to raise that child, I believe that when I look at the Bible it means that if that woman is in need, we need to help that woman.

Take a look at these verses in James 2:
14What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? 15Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

My concern here is that I see people very concerned about the murder of an unborn child. But it seems like that concern stops once that Baby is born. We can't have it both ways. We tell that woman we love her but refuse to help her when she needs that help to care for that child. We need to stop being hypocrites people!!

You're right. Accidents don't just happen with respect to getting pregnant. A woman knows full well that the possibility exists of becoming pregnant when she has sex. No matter how well protected she thinks she is there is always the chance unless she is sterile. Murder is not an acceptable means of birth control.

Be pro-choice, but be pro-choice BEFORE you have sex and get pregnant!
Not afterward, when you go "oh crap! I got pregnant...with someone I don't want a baby with....better go kill the baby before it is born."
It's disgusting. Anyone who thinks it's okay is fooling themself. If you think the baby isn't aware, why don't you watch what it does on a sonogram monitor while it's dying inside you.

well i really agree but there are a couple situations where abortion is okay to me and one is if hte woman is raped then i believe she should have the choice in wether or not she gets one i also beleive that if having a baby would littlerly kill the mom then it is okay but i completly agree that it's wrong but there will always be people getting abortion because if we out law it then people will be getting them in f***ing allies and honestly thats deadly to the women so if it's gonna be something that happenes we mine aswell make sure that women are safe while doing it

They try and justify it by saying it is called a fetus. But let's see what does pregnant mean? Oh yeah, with child. Not with fetus. Those that do not 'want' the child, for whatever reason, should just give it up for adoption, not murder it.

I think everyone has the right to their own decision.
I personally would not have an abortion, but to each their won.
I do not judge , I leave that to God.
