On the weekends a lot of people are in the Hamptons but there is still a ton of people here! Some clubs have a mainly "bridge and tunnel" crowd, like Avalon and sometimes Stereo BUT they are really great clubs and I always have a good time at them. NY nightlife is good ALL the time no need to worry.

On vacation? No, there are tons of people in the city and lots of people from outside the city come in on the weekends for the nightlife. Weekends are always wild, especially in the summer.

Mostly tourists stay in town on the weekends. The New Yorkers get out of the city. They either go to the Hamptons or the Jersey shore.
