If you want to get rid of them permanently you have to cut them. Cutting doesn't mean you lose a lot of your length. Unless you have not had a hair cut in a dozen years. It's the layered stuff that I think you have your trouble with.

It will grow faster too if you get it trimmed every 4-6 weeks. Split ends start forming around that time and the longest piece falls off first, so if you don't get your hair trimmed then you wind up with stringy hair. Why have long hair if it looks nasty?

If you're going to have long hair make it healthy and maintain it with deep heating conditioners done by a professional..We have products we use that you can't get over the counter. I have a formula of three different kinds of deep treatments that my clients love and I only charge $20 per treatment.

If you want a temporary fix for some occasion then get some " Ego Boost" by Bed Head. Make sure you cover the ends with the product. Dry hair, use straightening iron and go over the ends a little slower than the rest of you hair.BTW buy a CHI iron. They are the best...

I am in the process of finding out about an iron that may be BETTER than the CHI, but I kinda doubt it. Anyway. the product seals the split ends together and you won't see any at all if you do it right, until you wash it. Good luck...let me know with an email

Don't cut it. Go to get a tiny trim because that will help. Start taking some good vitamins - the best out there are from EcoQuest. They made my hair and nails stronger than steel! Then, get some good salon quality products. A beautician can recommend the best kind for your hair. You'll need a gentle shampoo, a regular conditioner, and intensive conditioner and a leave in treatment. Attack it from the inside and outside and that will make a huge difference. The EcoQuest vitamins will help your overall health and energy as well. Not all vitamins are alike and many over the counter brands go in one end and out the other without being assimilated into your system.

You will need a trim to get rid of them and then you need to prevent them. Only wash your hair 2-3 times a week and use a deep conditioner. Start at the ends and work it in towards your scalp. After your hair is dry (use thermasilk if you are going to blow dry it) band then braid it loosely before bed. By braiding your hair, the natural oils stay in more at the ends and this prevents split ends. I also recommend using a very tiny amount of conditioner and rubbing it into the ends of your hair after your shower and do not rinse it out. Do this once a week.

The only way to get rid of split ends is a trim/cut. There is no actual treatment for a split end, what u lose in length you gain in health. Keep it trimmed as you grow to avoid future split ends...try to make it into your salon every 4-6 weeks for a trim :)

The only way of getting rid of split ends is to get you hair trimmed. If you get your hair trimmed on a regular basis they will not get so bad you have to cut alot of your hair. But, for your hair to stay healthy and good looking you have to get your split ends cut or your hair will continue to split higher up.

I have long hair. I use conditioner in the shower and I also buy the spray in leave in hair conditioner, from either Aussi or Pantena. It seems to keep the split ends a little more in control.

There isn't any other way but cutting, but you can prevent them. My hair is pretty long and wavy/curly and I haven't had a split end in years. I never brush it, just run a wide tooth pick through it after washing and conditioning it. Brushing and not using conditioners can create split ends.

You have to cut some, but only an inch. I usually get a trim every 2-3 months

The only real way to get rid of them is to just get a trim. Your hair will look longer actually if it's healthy. Good luck!

The only way is to cut it. Try asking your stylist to TRIM your hair (meaning taking off no more than a 1/2 inch) This is truly not that much. good luck
