So if I set my cruise to 70 are there any stretches of I-84 where the Oregon police are going care about that?

70 should not give you a problem. Unless they are bored. Watch for state troupers from Baker City to pendleton you will see the most. and be careful around Hood River If traffic is moving slower than 65 drop your speed.

Also watch the big trucks the limit for them is 55 if they are doing 65 they will be stopped first.

I wouldn't risk it. From everything I've been told, and the impression I get whenever I drive through Oregon I usually set the cruise to a mile or two under the limit. I don't think I'd trust any "stretches" because you just never know who's on duty or what mood they'll be in.

If you are driving something that the police might want to pull over for another reason (you are a young male, tricked out car, sports car, etc..) then I would not go that fast. If you are a normal joe, I doubt you will have any problem at all.
