Here's a novel idea for you.

Get a tube of Icy Hot (a muscle rub), or something as close to it as you can. Put some on your leg and see how your cat reacts to the smell.

If he adores it and goes crazy for it, almost as if it was catnip, then you will have to follow some of the other ideas (bad-smell spray, enduring cat training to make him stop, spritzing him with water).

If he absolutely hates it, like the majority of cats do, then you may want to take some and smear it around the window or screen. The scent will be horribly off-putting and he should not want to go around that area, let alone climb windows.

I tried to figure that out too. From the time my cat was 10 weeks to about 1 year it tore up every screen in my house and managed to rip the door screen on the back porch into shreds (from the top to the bottom). I put finger nail covers on it and it bit those off...lol I had to keep it because it is soooooo sweet. In fact it is so sweet. I called it Sweety until I realized it was a boy and had to change his name to Sampson. Well, I guess that kind of figures...Sampson was a mighty warrior and well kitty was just doing his thing....lol Fortunately for me, my dad taught me how to fix all the screens. It was easy but a little time consuming.

maybe there always birds out side those windows. or something like that i would just close the windows and if he climbing on them outside just keep the windows shut and remove the screens or get thin wired ones so that he cants get his claws in the slots to climb it and get him a carpet climbing post or something he can climb on.

There is a spray you can use that will train cats to stay away from certain places. I think it's called something like "Stay-Off Training Aid."

spray your cat with water every time he gets up on the screen or if you don't want to use water, clap your hands or make another loud noise and tell him to get down.
with our cat we don't have to spray him anymore...we just call his name loudly and he gets down...he hardly climbs the screen now, except for when he sees the neighbor's cat in our yard!

electrify it. kidding.

someone posted a question similar to this before.
someone else suggested something called Stay Away spray found in pet stores. Cats don't like it. Test it yourself before buying tho.

I think the pet shop sell some kind of spray so that the cat will not go near anything that has that smell.

plant a tree on top of this cat and get another ,but chances are that the next one will do the same
it is a catty thing to do you cannot untrain a cat of its instinct or natural .behaviour

,like training a dog not to bark (this would probably be easier)

Spray your cat with water using a water bottle or water gun...they hate water...but don't give up it will take a few times or more.
