I drink , smoke and sin, yet when I ask Jesus for a favor( within reason of course!) he always helps me! Can you explain why! I'm not worthy to approach him!

Actually you are worthy. You can do any vile thing you want as long as you believe in "John 3:16"...you are forgiven and without responsibility for your actions. Heck, Jesus had two criminals at his execution. He promised them a place in Heaven.
