If you have decided on adopting, would you want a baby or an older child?

I'd want an older child because they're usually overlooked in the whole scheme of adoptions. Most people don't want an older child because they come with baggage and a (usually) traumatic history and most people don't want to have to deal with that. I, however, would do everything in my power (and enjoy every minute) to help that child cope and move on.

I think a child at any age can steal your heart.. so i dont think it should matter what the age, and heck why not do both adopt a baby and an older child, all children need love..

I took a 2 1/2 year old little girl as a foster child and adopted her when she was 5. Now she's 13 and it's all good. She's a sweetie pie.

If i am adopting i would prefer a baby because i can groom the child with the moral and ideals that i like.
secondly the baby will know me as it only parent and will prevent the scar from previous adoted parents.

baby would be better, since I got to watch the baby grow and the baby will be bonded to me better rather than when the child is older.

Older Child - - - I'd rather skip that whole diaper stage - - - the idea age would be four going on five - - - just smart enough to understand stuff and ready to explore the World.

i would no choose a baby because of the trouble i will have explaining to him / her that he/she is adopted...tht is heart breaking for any kid....adopt one who will understand this,that means an older kid so that you wont break anyone's heart...

I WOULD LIKE A CHILD TO BE HEALTY FIRST OFF AGE DONT MATTER AS THEY ALL NEED HOMES AND LOVE
