i need them for tiebacks on curtains. i want some really large gold tassels.help!

If Calico Corners is still around, try them. They are a fabric store that carries fabric for not only clothing but for decorating. I remember seeing tassels there. Not sure where you live, but there were Calico Corners in California, Oregon, so the west coast for sure. Try going on-line for your search as well. With the digital photography today, you can view the product pretty well. Look in the yellow pages in your area for fabric stores and call a few to see if they carry home decor fabric and accessories.

JoAnns fabrics/craft, and Annas Linens both have HUGE tassels. And an assortment of other sized tassels as well.
Be sure not to have the tassels be too big for the project scale, or too heavy if you are using them to tie back drapes. Using a big tassel with lightweight, sheer drapes will look odd.

If you have tried all of the major Department Stores in your area try at Fabric stores, and Arts and Crafts stores.
