If altruistic motivation is the definition of morality, then there IS no morality! People do what makes them happy to do.
I mean seriously, look at how self-satisfied your question is! You don't find self-satisfaction rewarding?
"I am more pure than you are! Nyaa, nyaa, nyaa."
I don't know which group drives me crazier, the loud-mouthed Christians or the loud-mouth athiests. (Should atheiest be capitalized?)

I said your were an Atheist, not an Anarchist!
If it's selfish to have rules then next time you come home and find your TV set stolen, your DVD player gone, call an Antheist instead of the Police, otherwise you are using the same selfishenss concepts.
Laws are based on relgion.
When MAN made laws MAN was exempt. Ceaser could steal but you couldn't.
Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
When the rules come from a higher source everyone is subject to them from Minister to President to Policeman to Soldier to Citizen.
And Christian morality takes all forms, just Atheist morality, I would imagine.
At a given exeuction both are out in force, some for and some against.
Some from each side.
And who ever said Atheist's can't have morals!
I can certainly belive some Christians will say you won't get to heaven or you might rot in hell, but few if any can justify saying you have no morals or code.
You must be listening to the 14 year old punks here who pretend to be this and that.
Fear of punishment, however, is how we work and there are wonderful non-religious scientific studies that show over and over that discipline makes for better students, better life styles, better citizens.
Anarchy makes for rotten apples!

Anyone can be moral, or immoral. The motivations for making moral decisions are always mixed aren't they? I hear people frequently say they like helping others because "it makes them feel good." Is that totally selfish?
Many people of faith make decisions based on compassion for others and a desire for justice. Faith, and living out one's convictions can't be reduced to just rewards and punishments, that's a simplistic view of faith. Just as it is a simplistic view to say Atheists don't have morality.

My question to you is, why did you ask this question without interpreting the passages each and each of ways via? it rather is what gets me, is that the non-believers (non-christians) are in basic terms so waiting to sharpen their knives to take jabs on the Bible, yet they hit no longer something yet skinny air. yet nevertheless, from what I even have seen interior the respond checklist so some distance is the two A) deceptive B) in basic terms conserving the hearth stoked to maintain you blind to Jesus Christ C) and a few are in basic terms doubtful via posing as a clean, elementary beatnik answer. Landmark789 a minimum of did the choose of declaring rather scripture. As for the ten commandments, they are no longer there to declare what you could and can't do, they are there to remind you which you (individual) are no longer suited, nor can stick to those regulations and can be condemned to die. interior the old testomony, they sacrificed animals which incorporate lambs, bulls, doves, or perhaps pidgeons to hide their sins. interior the recent testomony, Jesus Christ died to hide ALL sins. he's our severe Priest, Redeemer, and Saviour. As a Christian, you attempt to be like Jesus Christ. considering which you could no longer do it and you will stumble (have confidence me, no person ever walks on flat land in this non secular adventure), you in basic terms would desire to make an apology. the ethical to learn approximately right here approximately how there would be a real Morality with God (there are no longer the different Christian gods my chum), is which you attempt to be as Christ like as you could and do the terrific you could. Being elementary, working complicated, having the flexibility to forgive, effective, soft, and a sturdy chum (even to strangers) are in basic terms the rather some examples of morality we learn from the Bible. So in case you like to befuddle the words and take them out of context like maximum of non-believers do, whats up, it rather is as on the brink of Heaven you're gonna get. For the Christian, the super information is, it rather is the closest to Hell we are going to ever get. the ethical of this answer? Get saved, stumble on a church of sturdy believers (and none of them would be suited, via fact God will purposely chop up one up so his be conscious would be divvied out to the broken someplace else). interior the very least, attend a bible learn. don't be sarcastic and in basic terms pay attention. on the tip, in basic terms ask questions. you will locate out maximum of issues will relate on your existence it will blow your innovations! Amen (and what does Amen recommend? It skill So be it.)

God did a lot better than that.He created us instead with free will. He gave us lif e and then He gave us freedom to decide for ourselves what we'll do with it. He gave us the power to choose our own way, provided the consequences... so with regard to your question, it 's up tou you how you will respond to it(MORALITY) ...You want to be moraly upright? then do it not because you
HAVE TO but because you WANT...
