It doesn't seem like it. It doesn't matter though, sin doesn't exist outside of fairy tales.

Yes it is bad. However, it is part of our nature (much akin to breathing). We can't help not do it. It takes a conscious effort to TRY to avoid it. I think that may be why so many people dislike Christianity because they are too lazy to try not to sin.

Romans 7:14-15 "We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do."

Well, according to the Bible we're born into sin. There's no way around it, so just the simple act of existing in the first place is wrong. Every single person has sinned on this Earth according to Christians.

I don't really know anybody who "sins" because I can't honestly say what exactly a sin is and why it is a sin. I think if there is such a thing, it only hurts the "sinner" because if there is a god, I don't think there is anything we can do that would hurt him or upset him for a creator can't be harmed by his creation (excluding the story of frankenstein, of course).

That's an interesting question... The answer I believe lies in your concept and/or definition of sin. If you believe in the bible, then you may have heard of the story of Sodom and Gomorrah.

The account bears out that God destroyed the cities because of all the immoralities and promiscuity of the time.

"It seems everyone was doing it, except for Lot and his family."

Now I could be wrong....but I don't believe God has changed his position on the matter. Better to err on the side of caution...don't ya think.

Food for thought: " Better to remain silent and thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt."

sinning is done by everybody except for the son of God Sin is like a seat belt just because you don't wear it (know what sin is Believe in sin) doesn't mean it is against the law(that it doesn't exist) Just because everyone is not wearing their seat belt doesn't mean when the police (God ) see you without it on (believe it or know it) that you won't get a ticket(be doomed)

Everyone sins, not just most people. We were born into sin. That is why Jesus came.

1Jo 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1Jo 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1Jo 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
1Jo 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

we sin because we're human. Yes it can be bad.
If somebody jumped off a bridge would you follow them because you thought it couldn't be so bad? I think not. Don't follow the crowd, be yiour own person. Don't sin, but if you should, then think about what you did and apologize.

"Neither shall you allege the example of the many as an excuse for doing wrong, nor shall you, when testifying in a lawsuit, side with the many in perverting justice." (Exodus 23:2) This quote from scripture tells us that sin is wrong no matter how many people do it.

Sin is from the devil himself and causes death. Do you think it's bad? I do. We are to ask for forgiveness of all our sins. Would you die on the cross for our sins?

Sin is really bad, but so many people do it because it's easier to give in to temptation than to resist it.
