More than likely you just have some congestions. You can buy over the counter items such as Sudafed, Clariton-D, etc. to help "unclog" or decongest. If you blow your nose and the mucus comes out green then you really should see a doctor as that is a sign of a sinus infection.

One more thing, if you are congested and you buy an over the counter product for decongestion or even if you do go to the doctors you should not drink dairy products or eat dairy products as it just keeps you congested.

Good luck!

A good deal of the problem could be where you live. A lot of humidity? A dry heat climate like Arizona is a better climate for sinus sufferers. A damp or humid climate like Illinois is not good for sinuses. Also' do you smoke or are you around a good deal of smoke & exhaust? All the above are bad on sinuses as is the smelling of some perfumes. Over the counter..Sutafed and Contact Sinus work pretty well. A Dr. can prescribe something better though. Are you around a lot of loud noise? If you have a build up in your ears, take an eye dropper, put some peroxide in it and put a few drops in each ear. You will hear a "fizzing" for a moment but it helps loosen things up.

Yes, you should DEFINITELY see a doctor! Check and see if you have a fever. If you do, then you most likely have an infection. If not, it could be a low-grade infection or allergies. Either way, a visit to the doctor is the best thing to do. Meanwhile, for comfort, get extra rest and drink plenty of fluids. Hot tea, soup, or spicy foods will make your nose run, which will make you feel better temporarily. This does not replace the doctor visit, just makes you more comfortable until you go. Wishing you a speedy recovery...

allergies
dryness low humidity
genes
ear infection/impacted ear
try and do a nose wash
they sell kits at walmart but take a 8oz cup fill with warm water and 1/8 teaspoon non iodized salt and a childs nasal bulb not a long skinny one the short fat one and use it to squirt water up your nose until it runs down your throat or the other nostril. it burns for a sec and will tear you eyes but it will calm down and it will remove mucus and reduce the swelling around the ear. i do it every few months to stay on top of chronic impacted/irritated ear canals works great

sounds like you are suffering from congestion. your membranes in your facial tissues are swollen. before going to the doctor take some on the shelf medication called mucinex (works wonders; it removes and decongests) and drink something warm. also drink lots of water and take some multivitamins. then take some allergy pills if needed.

If you develop (I know this is gross...) green phlegm, then it is an infection. Try a sinus rinse and drink a lot of water. That always helps me!

Consult a medical specialist and an ENT (ear, nose & throat) specialist, at your earliest convenience. Do not delay.
