Do not drink inexpensive wine.
Stick to wines that are at lease $30.00 per bottle at COSTCO (or similar outlet) - and lo and behold - no headache. The bottles marked RESERVE are usually good. Try a Red Shiraz from California.

Could have been too much alcohol, OR Could be you had red wine and are sensitive to it. Red gives some people headaches. If that was the case switch to lighter ones. But only in moderation.
