1st of all, we are not your fellows 'cause you are not a Muslim.

where did you get that from ? give me your sources, that is absolutly WRONG, nobody knows how old she was, and yes in that time YES they were used to get married about 10 or 12 years old and not only women, men too. my grandmother got married when she was 15 and that was 80 years ago not 1500, ask your mother how old her grandmother was when she got married.

befor islam woman couldn't get married on her own, her father MUST agree, after islam woman can get married on her own.

if u look at the total life span of aisha , it is 67
no. of years she lived as a widow =40
it means that at the time of her marriage with mohammad, her age =67-40=27
now the their marriage take place 2 months before hijrat (the start of muslim calender) and mohammad died on 10 hijri , it means actual age of aisha at the time of their marriage was
27-10=17and the sexual relation took place 2 years later (at 19)
so mohammad was not a paedophile
the hadith which tells the age 9 has been misquoted.

Marriage back then was not entirely about procreation for Muslims alot of Muslims took younger orphaned girls, or non Muslim wives it was so that they could protect them, and support them. This is why after the one major battle that Jews fought alongside Mohammed when the Jews turned on him and he had them killed the Muslims still took their widows and married them so as to protect them.
