Because they are 14. And remember, boy's 14 is like girl's 10. Ignore them totally until they grow up to, say, about 40.

At 14, yes, that age is immature because the individual is lacking life experiences and therefore doesn't know any better.

i think they are immature simply for the reason that they try to act more mature than they actually are, no matter what country they live in.
