I live by the Meerkat Motto:

Respect the Elders,
Teach the Young,
Cooperate with the Family,
Play when you can,
Work when you should,
Rest in between,
Share your Affection,

I have two. "Love God & love each other", & "I'd rather have wisdom & pain than be a comfortable fool."

The first is paraphrased from the Bible the second is a lyric from a Caedmon's Call song.
