I am 15 years old and i have been playing golf for around 10 months. My handicap is an 8.5 and i want to get into competitive golf. how can i be recognized?

In due time, keep perfecting your game. And I do agree with the first poster on your dress. Do not dress like Elvis, or wear a funny yellow rainhat. But, wear one particular color when playing and dress sharp. Develop a sophistication that is uncommon in a 15 year old boy. Show class, charm and charisma. Be a gentleman. Play with older veteran players. If you do not know them personally, then call them up and ask to play and get some pointers. Everyone likes to have their ego fed every now and then, and I am sure they would love to share their expertise with you. Good luck.

congratulations!! i see that you are doing well already, you should be proud of yourself. the first thing you have to do is to never give up, you seem to be very positive of what you are doing. i love to hear that 15 year old guys like you are spending their time in something really interesting and useful.. to do what you want to achieve try to enter every contest in every state or location near you.. ask about new events and how can you join in.. keep on the good job one of this days your dream will come true.. and I'm going to be your first fan... good luck in everything and God bless you...

Find youself a nude caddy. Also, fit your golf buggy with a stereo, and blast out some death metal all over the course!

Play in the local tournaments,the MET,school team,look for Amateur Tours in your area.Try www.ultragolftour.com,I bet there's one in your area.Great handicap for playing such a short time!
