I dont believe it can either. Astrology and romance are completely different things. If you two are meant to be then it will happen. It's all fate.

Well I am a Scorpio and I once read Scorpio's dont get along well with Leos and I encountered many Leos and have not gotten along with any of them. I believe that stuff to a certain degree but I wouldn't let it end my romance.

if you get some meaning out of it relevant to your situation then yea why not, most astrology is just good general advice made to be so broad it has to apply to someone somewhere.
but in general id go with your instincts over astrology any day
