this guy and i stopped speaking after having a bad discussion,after 4 months he called saying he missed me and wanted to hear my voice.i found this insulting should i? why did it take him 4 months to call me and say that ?

It's most likely because after a few other dates he found out that he's missing out on a wonderful girl such as yourself. :)

Good question. 4 months is a long time. In between that time, he could have done lots of stuffs. If you didn't like how he treated you before or you think this relationship isn't going to work out again, tell yourself to forget him. There are other nice guys out there that even after having a bad discussion, they will still talk to you in less than maybe 10 minutes or so. Not 4 months. Think twice before you accept him again.

If you take that as an insult--then good for you. That means that you are independent and that you have respect for yourself. Don't let those pesky things enter your life if you do not want them to, b/c it is too big of a hassle.
If you like this person and want to be friends, then maybe they finally got up the nerve to tell you that or maybe they just felt lonely or rejected by someone else. You should just ask them why, but even then, you may not hear the truth. So do whatever you want to do. The ball is now in your court.

Sounds like someone really likes you. Don't get angry, it takes men a little longer to make rational decisions. They don't think like we do! Give him a break, listen to him and don't get into any heated discussions. If you find it is going that direction, change the subject, you can always say, I have to go, I am in the middle of washing my hair! lol

Its called convinience. Whoever was keeping him busy for 4 months must have left him. I wouldn't be there for him. He wasn't there for you these last 4 months. I would just say well glad you missed me but I have moved on with my life.
