The soldiers are losing respect for the government officials and the higher ups, not the American people. They are part of the American people.

Never...we are here to help protect the citizens of america at home and abroad. All the services work together with other government agencies...we also protect the people that hate us, scold us, and carry signs at military funerals that say "Thank God for IEDs"
We are here for everyone, we are the same as civilians, but we are doing a different job. People think we are Nazis.
But the people that support us outweight the radicals and I love coming home and going to the VFW and seeing the eyes of vets be happy that I am in the service and give me a beer and the people that see me in the street and say thank you.
I will never lose respect for the American people...even if they hate me so much for my job.

Absolutely not. Despite the best efforts of CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the L A Times, the Washington Post, the Democratic National Committee, George Soros and Cindy MEEEEEEEEEEEEEhan.
The American People are far more respectful of the military now than they have been since any time since WWII.
Thank you to the troops for your service!!!!!!!

If they American people judge all soldiers by the actions of few then we do not need the American peoples support. Did not have it before 9/11 and we accomplished alot.

No. I'm a soldier, and everywhere I go, People come up and thank me for my service. It's unbelievable! Thanks to everyone that supports the soldiers. America is way more patriotic now than they were in say, Vietnam... When those soldiers came home, they were spit on and called baby killers. I've met nothing but kindness and respect.

no, i think we learned something from the vietnam war. it was then as it is now. we are fighting a war we now cannot win, and again we are doing it for political and economical reasons. ithink now we know its the administration, not the soldiers, that we have lost all respect for. in 1972, nixon announced the end of the war right before reelection. bush doesnt have to because his term will be over, so he can hand this mess to someone else.

No. I think the soldiers have the respect of the average person. It is our government that has lost a lot of trust and respect.
