If you are needing a catheter, i assume that you have had a specialist tell you so, when a person needs a catheter, the specialist looks as such things as the age of the person needing, the level of their need, the reason why, whether they are susceptable the uretha infections, the size of the persons uretha........there are other things also, i suggest you go back to your doctor or specialist and talk to them about it.

A catheter is not the solution. You need exercises, surgical correction, etc...catheters are temporary, or for those who are unable to get out of bed to potty on their own. Cathethers can break down your tissue, cause infections, and other things if not used properly or cleaned or inserted properly. If you are ambulatory, this is not your answer.

If your speaking of a urinary catheter, generally they all work the same. But you have to consider latex allergies if you have one. As far as sizes....you'd have to consider your age and the size of your urethra. The smaller you can get away with helps with discomfort of insertion.
