Once your hair goes blond its not going to be any color really ever again. blond strips your hair. save your money and get it professionally done. The problem is not with the first application, the problem comes when its time for you to get a retouch on your roots. No matter what color you originally get, it will never completely blend as well as a professional can do it. In fact you might end up doing worse damage in the process. The money for a professional job is definitely worth it.

Please go to a stylist. You may wind up with orange hair. If your dark brown hair is dyed then you can't lift color with color, won't work...period! If your hair is natural then you MAY be able to do it on your own, but if you don't get the color you want and you have to go to a stylist then you are going to pay more than if you went in the first place, because now it becomes a hair color correction and that will cost you a pretty penny. Besides, to get it professionally done might be between 40 and 60 bucks...and you get what you want, not something else. One thing people don't know about it that the color on the package is not the color you are going to wind up with because of the color you already have. Makes a huge difference. Maybe once you get it done by a professional a few times she may tell you what color she is using and then you may be able to get it over the counter. However, it will never be the same quality that a stylist uses.

Um... good luck alot of products over the counter are not going to do a good job. They will leave you with orangey hair because they are not strong enough to lift our hair light enough. Just please leave it to the pros and if you can't afford it try the beauty shcools they need people to work on, and you can get a pretty good deal too. Just make sure you ask for a student about to graduate(senior).

I have tried all Drugstore brands and to be quite honest with you, Clairol haircolors are the worst. Try Loreal Excellence or Garnier Nutrisse. They are great brands with great selections in bown shades. Good luck!
