Alcohol is considered a drug, but a legal one. It can be highly addictive, and a difficult habit to kick. It can destroy your liver and kidneys, and is treated by many substance abuse centers who also work with narcotics addiction

Yes, alcohol is a drug. Any substance that has mind altering effects, that can induce psychosis is a drug.

Whenever alcohol is ingested it enters the bloodstream via the liver and is transported to the brain where it mimics a neurotransmitter and gains entry to the brain cells. It causes, amongst other things, cognitive impairment, a loss of self control and other learned inhibitions. Normal behavior is substituted for antisocial behavior depending on the amount of alcohol consumed and the individual involved. Alcohol is an addictive substance, the same as any psycho active drug.

Although initially alcohol feels like a stimulant by making her feel more lively, it ultimately acts as a depressant and causes sedation and drowsiness. Alcohol slows down her ability to think, talk, react, and make decisions as she normally would. This can lead to poor choices and risky behavior. It is allso contributing factor with most cancers.

It is a poison. When you drink it, the side effects of the poison make you drunk. If you drink "too much" at one time, you will die from poisoning. The death is known to be from alcohol poisoning not a drug overdose.

yes, alchohol is considered a drug but only if its used in heavy spurts(when ppl get drunk) and its considered a drug because it impairs ur judgement, vision and mental thinking
