It seems to depend on what you use your GPS for mainly. For example if it is to go interstate or from country to country it may be important to have extra map information.

If it is too avoid traffic , Magellan provides a traffic reporter and suggested routes around traffic.

You might also consider whether you want just visual guidance or also voice guidance. This may increase the costs. Also how you want to be able to mount the unit may be an important consideration.
