You are right. And he did.
One of the gospels said that Jesus hung out at the local bar called Gnasty Nelli's for a few days and joked around about the holes in his hands. He really cracked people up when the beer leaked out his side. He kept a stiff upper lip but he did say, "Damn that hurt." when he was asked about the nails, thorns and spear poke.
Those guys really believed in him and they formed a club called the Gnostics. Then he took off one day for Florida.

Jesus spent 40 more days on this earth after He was resurrected appearing to many different people. However, Jesus once told a story about Lazarus and the rich man. The rich man was in hell and asked Abraham if he could send someone from the dead to warn his brothers not to come to this place. Abraham responded to him if they do not believe Moses and the Law, neither will they believe though one rose from the dead. The Word of God alone is enough to make people believe. If they do not believe God's Word which is alive and spirit, neither will they believe if a miracle walked up and slapped them in the face.

Jesus did not stay dead for long. Early Sunday morning, near sunrise, some disciples discovered that the Son had risen. They did not see the resurrection itself, but they saw Jesus, alive and well. Over a period of 40 days, they saw Jesus on numerous occasions. Then he rose into heaven.
But Jesus is not taking a vacation. His ministry continues, even in heaven. He serves and leads the church, interceding for us, helping us, preparing us for eternal glory. Christ will return, and after he has subdued every enemy, he will give everything to the Father. Mission accomplished.

You have to remember that the end purpose is not "only" for people to believe, it is for people to gain faith and "then" believe. What you say is true, Jesus could've done that, but then no one would need faith to believe because He would be right there in front of them. For that matter why didn't God in the very beginning send down 100 million angels to make everyone believe? Because that would actually destroy the plan, not help it. The plan was for God to help us change through our gaining faith in Him. If 100 million angels came down tommarow, absolutley no faith would be necessary to believe. It would be fact. So, while Jesus gave them more than enough miracles to believe He did not take "all" the work out of it. People still have to pray and get an answer
from the Holy Ghost.
Yes He spent time on earth afterwards teaching those that had proven themselves to Him during the trials of His earthly mission, then He ascended into heaven and let His disciples do their work, so they could learn through their own experiences.

Yes He did spend time on earth after He rose. What He did was spend time with His apostles, instructing them to take the gospel to all parts of the earth.
You know, Jesus taught a parable about a man who was in hell. He asked Jesus to let him warn his living relatives. Jesus said, if they did not believe the prophets, they would not believe even a person come back from the dead.
A heart that desires to deny God cannot be convinced otherwise.

After being crucified dead and buried he rose again to prove to us there is life after death and some people did see him in spirit form and he gave them directions to keep preaching the gospel. Many were frightened when they saw he came back from the dead after awhile he ascended into heaven where he is now. He went to prepare a place for all us of who believe to come join him when we die. We can't feel a slight breeze on our face when the wind blows but we can feel it feel it and know it is there, thats how he is we do not see him but he is here in spirit and if we sit quietly and pray we can feel his presence and it is awesome...

Pallas Athena,
He did speak and walk and did miracles after the Resurrection. He was quite thorough and told His disciples to wait for the Spirit to come after He ascended.
The 'Set Time' of Pentecost was that time. That's Acts 2. The 'Set Time' was a feast practiced for hundreds of years, and was a type or shadow of things to come. The coming of the Spirit upon mankind on Pentecost was the fulfillment of that 'Feast.'
And so are the other "Feasts" or "Set Times." Some have been fulfilled already, some are yet to come.

To what end? If His crucifixion and resurrection were not enough to convince us of his convictions then do you really think we would have listened to anymore preaching? He made the point He came here to make. 'Nuf said!
