Don't listen to anyone who says wine doesn't go with cereal. It's all a matter of personal taste.

And really, you can never go wrong with Two Buck Chuck. It goes with everything.

If you can't find the Two Buck Chuck, then you might have to go with Night Train or Mad Dog 20/20, but they're not nearly as good.

Your brother is insane.
The sweetness of the cereal and the sweetness of the Boones will just be too much and will give you a sugar headache.

Best choice:
NIGHT TRAIN...extra, extra cold. The not-so-subtle apple tones will hit you like a frozen apple pie in the face, yet totally complement the peanut butter...and it's cheaper than the cereal. How can you miss?

Second best:
Thunderbird. What's the word? THUNDERBIRD! What's the price? A dollar twice!! How can you argue with that? The real beauty of it lies in that you can pour it into a paper cup and nobody will think poorly of you. It's the ultimate "I'm going to eat my pancakes with hot fudge and pickles" kinda breakfast wine.

Third best:
DOMAINE DU CLOS DES FÉES Côtes du Roussillon-Villages Vieilles Vignes 2003. Serve at 55F. It's rich and robust with plenty of fruitiness to really make your mouth tingle after you tear the crap out of the roof of your mouth on the Captain Crunch.
Sure it may be $40 a bottle, but if the wine shop is all out of Night Train then maybe in that moment of despair you'll just throw caution to the wind and say "Oh Hell...it's only money."

...but I'd really lean more toward the Night Train.

Boones...pffffffffff. Your brother is a jacka$$.

Your brother is definitely wrong!

For Peanut Butter Captain Crunch you need a 40 ounce Malt Liquor. If you drink that strawberry wine, it always looks pink when you hurl, so you can't tell if you have ruptured your esophagus.

What a lucky lady...I've never been much of a wine connoisseur...you may want to try several before deciding on any one you don't want you and your lady's special night to be ruined by a bad beverage choice....
So have a tasting session before hand, to do this always swirl your wine around you cereal bowl whilst looking pretentious...*sniff* look like your pondering and then *sniff * again....good luck it should be a memorable evening for you both.

A blush wine, like white zinfandel, will do. It'll complement the nuttiness of the cereal, and probably your own nuttiness as well.

Well if it is the next morning and you are still partying and eating Captain Cruch then I think you should probably be drinking nitrate.

You could never go wrong, with "wine in a box", it will compliment the cereal in a box, very nicely............:)
