Why are women so bent on marriage? What does marriage have to do with being settled down? Who says you can't love someone and be settled down without being married. I cannot think of anything that you can do married that you can't do as an unmarried couple.
Marriage is a license for a woman to screw-up a man's life and try to take half his stuff. If you love a guy so much, why can't you just be happy with him? What more does marriage bring to the table? Women want so bad to be in control of the man's life and this is what marriage does. If he ever disagrees with her, she cries foul and tries to take his kids and half his stuff.
Many men have fallen for this marriage scam and remain a hostage to their wife. I'd rather be captured by Hezbollah.

this is just a theory, but it might be because their old social lives will go down in a burning ring of fire. The late nights out drinking with "the guys" watching sports and eating pizza are done.
As for me settling down, it wouldn't take long because I don't have an inner circle like that to hang with anymore.

It would take me maybe till 30 to get married kids at 34 and I'd retire at 50. Alot of the guys I know are not willing to settle because they are never sure that "she" is the "one". It usually takes men longer to find out they are in love( in my opinion), but once they know how they feel, and they're sure the girl loves them, they'll get married in Las Vegas if they can drive there lol. Most guys who girls get with, don't like the barely breakable commitment known as marriage. The men who aren't afraid to settle down usually aren't the guys that girls go for anyways.

Men think marriage is a death sentence because when they are married they are locked down to one girl. They can't just say " I don't like you anymore, so it's over," but they could do that if they were just going out with a girl. So when men are married they think there is no way to bail if they start to not like something.

I don't think marriage is a death sentence, it is the beginning of a new chapter in ones life. I would date someone for at least 1 year to really get to know her before I married her. That way you really learn about the person that way.

Ready for the truth? The majority of women are conflictive. This means you ladies dont allow us to see our friends. You limmit our freedom. Our lives are over. Bitching and nagging are part of your answer. Making fights out of nothing is a killer. Everybody is divorcing and everybody knows it so everybody is more cautious. We have to go play poker in the woods cause you ladies dont accept our hobbies. Manipulative acts are common among women and they scare us away. I cant be more honest. Print this answer and learn it so that you can mary some day.

A female friend of mine is getting a divorce after 30 years of marriage:
.... she gets the house that they both paid for in full
.... she gets child support for both kids and both are over 20 but are still in college
.... she gets spousal support even though she is working full time
.... Now ask any guy why they don't want to commit
.... what do you think?
Marriage "IS" a death sentence!!!!

Not all of us are like that. I'm waiting to find the perfect person. I want kids, white picket fence, the lab puppy running in the yard. A lot of guys want it, just are to afraid to admit it. Most think it's uncool. The ones that sleep with everyone need to be avoided at all costs. LOL.

Gee... Maybe it has something to do with getting suckered so badly the first time. I REALLY didn't enjoy being treated as a money machine, that had to pay for 'favors' that I thought were part of the package. I was expecting a partnership, not slavery!

I am not that way at all. Marriage is definitely something I plan to come into my life. I just want to make sure I find the right girl.
