Complete Destruction

And now the LORD Almighty says: Because you have not listened to me, I will gather together all the armies of the north under King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, whom I have appointed as my deputy. I will bring them all against this land and its people and against the other nations near you. I will completely destroy you and make you an object of horror and contempt and a ruin forever. I will take away your happy singing and laughter. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will no longer be heard. Your businesses will fail, and all your homes will stand silent and dark. This entire land will become a desolate wasteland. (Jeremiah 25:8-11 NLT)

So, when you misbehaved as a child and your parents got mad at you, are you saying your parents were bad parents for ever getting mad?
That is the exact situation we are in. We keep forgetting that God is our parent, and yes...HE GETS MAD when we don't do what we are supposed to. No where does it say God is carefree and such. The Bible speaks of his wrath all the time.
I mean, if you told your children NOT to do something and then they turned right in your face and just for spite did exactly what you told them not to do, wouldn't you be a little bit wrathful? I know I would be.

"I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness. I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt, O Virgin Israel. Again you will take up your tambourines and go out to dance with the joyful. Again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria; the farmers will plant them and enjoy their fruit."
(Jeremiah 31:3-5 NIV)

It's not right to talk only of the wrath and judgement of God and not also of the mercy and love of God. Both are clearly revealed in the Bible.

God had his reasons.God created mankind and everything else,I guess he can do anything he wants and he doesn`t have to ask our opinion. That was what was wrong with Satan he thought things should be done his way and that he was better then God.Back in the times you are talking about ,there were people who were heathens un-educated and loved to kill.

It is saying that if you do not follow what is right, others may turn against you, because you have lost faith, in all that life brings. Not necessarily that God will come and get you.

"God disciplines those he loves and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son. For what son is not disciplined by his father?............No discipline seems pleasant at the time but painful. Later on however it produces a harvest of peace and righteousness for those who have been trained by it."

Do not resent his rebuke!
