Then why doesn't he give atheists reason to believe in he in him/her?

Old, hate-filled, scribblings from the bronze ages dont count. Why doesn't he/she just take a second of his precious time to send a real message? Not some stupid little thing that can be debated.

How about the word "god" written in the sky by lightning bolts? I would believe then.

Maybe because the atheist needs to be an atheist and that is how they will be fulfilled.

Religion is more of a faithful thing.
It's not God's duty for everyone to believe in him,
nor is it anyone's duty to find a reason to believe.

Perhaps there is a necessity for finding the right religion. Christianity can always be wrong (because so many people from other regions of the world believe in something else).

So whether the lightning in the sky says "Shiva" or "Buddha" or "God", its a question of moral faith, not of proof.

Its very good you brought it up, though.
Small things (and sentimental things) are usually debatable and are usually classified as coincidences.

But no one is forcing anyone to believe.
Anyone who forces religion down another person's mouth is very much a hypocrite to their own religion.
But either way, atheists wouldn't be the only target of your question. It would pertain to Buddhism and Hinduism along with the other religions.

I think its wonderful that you voice your opinions and bring this up.
Because it is often brought to attention, but then swept under the rug.

(and by they way, not all the "old, hate-filled scribblings" were hate filled. most were of either warning or virtuous metaphors. However, some things that are unexplainable in today's world would strengthen faith, giving people the power to believe in a higher power, whomever they may be)

I hope i answered your question correctly!
:)

Believing that God IS isn't the issue. The Bible says even the demons believe and tremble at the thought of God. As far a you thinking if you saw a big old miracle, you would believe, you need to read about the Israelites watching God part the Red Sea, bring water out of a rock, send bread (manna) from heaven, etc...

It didn't matter. The were all about God when these things first happened, then they went right back to doubting.

Jesus even told a story about two men dying. One went to Heaven, and the other to Hell. The one in Hell said, "Send one to tell my brothers so they will know how to avoid my fate!" Jesus responded, "Even if a person comes back from the dead, they will not believe." (Wonder who He was talking about??)

So you see, my friend, it isn't about sight, it's about faith. It has to be. God made it that way.

He gives us our very breath... you might think that's enough...

Atheists wouldn't believe even if he wrote the word "god" in the sky by lightning bolts because they would ignore that it might be God and try to figure out some scientific explanation for it.

If they don't believe in God by the evidence we currently have then there is no hope for anything else to happen that would "make" them believe.

There's more than enough evidence for anyone who is truly open to conclude that there is a Creator. If people choose not to believe even in the face of such overwhelming evidence, it wouldn't matter if God wrote his name in the sky with lightning bolts, they would still not believe. God is not going to force anyone to believe in Him. If atheists choose not to believe in God, that is their choice, but to claim that there is no evidence for them to believe is blatantly wrong.

He doesn't owe YOU or anyone an explanation!! You're His creation, not His equal. Get things in perspective.
-and give me a break! 'hate-filled'?? LOL
you haven't spent much time in the Bible, have you?
- and He has given MUCH more than His 'precious time', He gave us life, His Word, love, too much to mention - but most importantly, His Son, who died to save us from an eternity in hell.

I think it would be VERY wise for you to rethink this - your eternal destiny depends on it.
- - - -Ever heard of the 'Roman's Road'?

The bible is there for all to read. Not only the bible, but "all of creation speaks of the existence of God, that no man has excuse".

I don't mean to offend you, but with the way you are speaking, you are revealing your heart towards the things of God. It's no surprise you can't recognize them.

Free will. The fruit from the tree? Our greatest flaw is our very ability to choose, and that choice can be different from person to person. Our god doesn't want to enslave us, the wants us to follow him, and if he has to lose a few followers to do that, we'll i'm sure he'll manage!

If you were an all powerful being, would you want to prove yourself to every single one of your creations? If you need a reason to believe, there's a problem. Religion isn't about anything more than being a good person.

This is easy.
Everyone go to a mirror and look deep into your eyes(not at your eyes) and tell your Self I love you, and I honor who you are and what you are.

That weird feeling you feel inside when you do this, that is your inner spirit, the same spirit you emanated from, the spirit that is within all of creation.

It is that simple.
