What is your opinion on illegal immigrates? Should they be allowed to stay and work here in the U.S.? Should we send them back home? What do u think about when u hear the words illegal immigrate? Should they have the same rights as anyone else? What if there parents or a relative got them to the U.S. illegally when they were 10yrs old or younger, should they be held accountable now for their parents or relatives action? What if the U.S.is the only home they know of? Do u think its fair how some illegal immigrates are currently being treated?

Your probably thinking why all these questions about illegal immigrates. I've been hearing and reading a lot about it, and since their is this i think town in PA and LI that wants to ban illegal immigrates altogether. From living in the town to working in the town. And i personally don't think its fair. Some illegal immigrates have families to support just like the next person. I just don't know what to think. I just feel bad for some of them.

Well thank you all for your views and strong opinions. Here is also my opinion.

I know what the word illegal means. It is something that is prohibited or not authorized by law or by rules specific to a particular situation.

When i hear about illegal immigrates. yes i do feel sad for them. Especially when u hear some of there stories about their life in their country. I personally wish that some of them can just get there US citizenship and work or at least working papers. They want to work for less than minimum wage so why not help them and help our selves and our economy.

Illegal immigrates are hard working people just like us. they take jobs that we don't want. And don't say u want the job because u know u don't. Jobs that are paying way less than minimum wage. Most of us as US citizens are not willing to work for less than minimum wages. They are here some have families that are here. they are supporting.

I work hard everyday to keep food in my mouth, clothes on my back, a roof over my head. I'm not saying that u don't but what I'm saying is this. Are u willing to work for less than minimum wages with no benefits, no days off?

Yes i do understand by illegal immigrates being here its costing us money. Just like its costing us money to be in a war that we're not really in. But the other side of that is some illegal immigrates are helping fight our war over seas. So what do u tell them? Oh thanks for fighting our war, but go back to your country? After being promised a better life the legal way?

If some one lets say your parent was already living up here. And u as there child wasn't. your parent got u here illegally any age under 10yrs old. your parent brought u up here to live a better life. What if the child was getting abused and molested. The other family member that u left your child with die. What are you suppose to do? I heard a stories like this or similar to this.

That changed my view on illegal immigrates being here. What is that family suppose to do? And don't say go back to there country and take care of their child. What if this was your situation? Just because they are here illegally does that mean there child has to suffer? So what some of u might be saying is that u can't care for your child? U can't come to the U.S for a better life? Getting a visa is not easy. Living in the U.S. is not easy whether u are an American citizen or not.

I know most if not all of u don't like what i had to said but hey i have rights too. And my rights entitle me to have freedom of speech.

My head hurts now, thank you. OK. To me illegal immigrant means a person that has illegally entered the U.S. from anywhere. Illegal immigrants should not have the same rights as U.S.citizens. They do have human rights, just not U.S. rights. Children should not be held accountable for parents actions, but they should apply for citizenship legally when they turn 18. As far as treatment goes, I feel for them, I really do; but, I don't want to reward them for breaking the law. Realistically, it is not plausible to find all of the illegals and send them home. I believe they can be given a chance to apply for citizenship and receive a card or something that shows they have applied by a certain time, Anyone caught without that proof should be sent home.

What is your opinion on illegal immigrates?
A~ They are ILLEGAL and are breaking our laws.

Should they be allowed to stay and work here in the U.S.?
A~ No, they need to be deported.

Should we send them back home?
A~ Yes, we need to send them to the country that they are a citizen of...cause they are not US citizens.

What do u think about when u hear the words illegal immigrate?
A~ Law breaker/ Criminal

Should they have the same rights as anyone else?
A~ uh NO they are not citizens of this country, why should they have the same rights that I do ??

What if there parents or a relative got them to the U.S. illegally when they were 10yrs old or younger, should they be held accountable now for their parents or relatives action?
A~ I'm sorry, but YES. Assuming the kids is now an adult, why didn't the relatives get them legal?? Citizens who pay taxes had to pay for the childs education, that is school books, supplies, teachers etc. that should have went to a child that is
a citizen.

What if the U.S.is the only home they know of?
A~ Sorry again, but if you are here Illegally then, that means you are from another country...so it's NOT the only home you know of.

Do u think its fair how some illegal immigrates are currently being treated?
A~ How are they being mistreated?? I think they are getting more than fair treatment!! They are criminals, what kind of rights should criminals have ??

Hazelton can do whatever they want...it is their taxes. They are fed up with all of the illegals creating problems there. They are to be commended for taking care of business !!

Well, the word ILLEGAL has a lot to do with it. I think that if a person is here illegally they should be given the option to get right and make it legal, and have a reasonable penalty - paying towards taxes - making an effort to show they are willing to be law abiding American citizens. If they are not willing, then yes they shouold be sent back. All of America's people, just about have immigrated or their families in the not too far past have immigrated to America. They came and brought their talents and work ethic, they learned the language and the laws of the land and made a commitment to abide by them or deal with the consequences. If someone was brought at 10 years old, unless they are still underage, there is no excuse- they have been here long enough to make an attempt to become a legal citizen. I don't think it should be made difficult for those who have been here almost all of their lives- especially if they have learned the language and are willing to be law abiding citizens- have never given cause to question their loyalty- it should not be a difficult process but legal action does need to be taken so that they can be productive , able to take advantage of the blessings offered in this country but giving into it as well so that it is available for all.
A governement for the people , by the people- but the people that should have a voice, the opportunities, the assistance should be the ones who are willing to abide by the laws of the land, be productive members who are loyal and dedicated to what America is about.

ALL illegal immigrants need to be deported back to their home countries, along with their children. The parents are the ones who did their children wrong by bringing them to the USA illegally and their parents are responsible for that and for their children. Their home countries are also responsible for their people and so those people need to all return to their home countries and stop coming to the USA illegally. The citizens of the USA are NOT responsible for illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants do NOT and should NOT have the same rights in the USA as do legal residents and legal immigrants. They can have all their legal rights back in their home countries! I do NOT feel sorry for illegal immigrants in any way, shape or form! They broke the laws by coming to this country without applying through the proper procedures. The laws of the USA ALREADY ban ILLEGAL immigrants and the individual cities and states are now having to enact their own laws because of the federal government's failure to enforce the laws. When immigrants try to jump the line and come here illegally, they are basically STEALING from the legal citizens and legal immigrants of this country! They steal services that they do not contribute to, such as education, medical, and welfare, just to mention a few. Yes, these people may have families to support, but coming here illegally and sucking our services dry is not the way to support their families. They need to support their families in their own countries or else apply to immigrate LEGALLY!

I don't think they should be allowed to stay here because they are ILLEGAL. I really could care less about the other problems they cause but plain and simple they are illegal.

I think that some of them (not the ones on welfare) should have the option to apply for a citizenship. I really also think that its great they want to come here because I understand that they obviously came here illegally for a reason; it is difficult to get a visa. Because of this I think getting a visa shouldn't be as difficult as it is because then we would all be happy. Less illegals, and easier for the immigrants to come here legally.

I also think their grown children (aka 18 and older) should be allowed to stay here if they were born here because technically they are not illegal and shouldn't be forced to pay the price of their parents.

Illegal aliens do not belong here, they should be deported, one and all, along with their children.

No, they should not be allowed to stay in the USA to work, they have lowered wages in the areas where they have managed to STEAL jobs from Americans.

No, they should not have any rights while in the USA illegally, except the right to get the Hell OUT.

I don't care when they came here, an illegal alien is an illegal alien. Their children born here were the result of a crime and should not profit by that crime committed by their parents. No birthright citizenship.

The only treatment illegal aliens deserve is DEPORTATION..... as fast as possible.

It is fair to ban illegal aliens, they are criminals and are stealing from America.

Illegal aliens should NOT DESERT their own country, they should stay and fight to make it better instead of illegally coming to the USA to harm our society.

They cost us dearly in many ways. Higher auto and health insurance rates. Burden our schools with thier children because they do not pay property taxes. Use false IDs and Social Security #s. Need I go on???

Americans will do the work, they always have and always will..... except when illegal aliens are hired at a lower wage with no benefits.

Allowing illegal aliens into the USA is akin to slavery. Those who employ illegal aliens are criminals also. Our corrupt congress and bush are aiding and abetting illegal aliens in their ongoing criminal enterprise.

Illegal aliens willingly become CRIMINALS the instant the illegally enter the USA, everything they do while in the USA illegally is a continuation of that crime.

well I don't think we should send them home. They should find there own way back to there homeland. And the way to do this is to take away any business license (for at least 6 months) that hire them plus anyone caught housing should spend at least 6 months in jail.
Illegal is illegal no mater who they are they don't desever to be here. There are other who is trying to get here legally but these illegal are making it hard for those.

Banning them would simply be enforcing the law. Illegal immigrants cost the rest of us billions of dollars each year. While we are paying for their health care, education and much more, working illegal immigrants send billions of dollars back to their relatives in Mexico and other Central American countries. I find it hard to feel sorry for them.

an illegal immigrant is already banned from working in your town.

if people don't want mexicans coming in, they have to use a little bit of the money they would spend catching them to help create jobs in mexico... many illegal immigrants are sending money back to families there, but if you started a job program there, they would be glad to return and be with their families. also, keeping them from working here is a good thing, for them as well, because they are being attracted by the rampant illegal hiring by corporations who are looking to pocket the difference. they have a right to a legal status. there is a huge gap between rich and poor in mexico, and in that respect, the u.s. is becoming more and more like them every year. if they are fleeing from poverty, they are refugees, and do deserve help, and with a job program in mexico under U.S. supervision, they could even be sent back.
