Is it fair for the board of education to take all of the drinks out of our coke machines except for diet coke and water. They even took the poweraid! I don't drink water or carbonated drinks. All i will drink is poweraid. I tried a flavored water from one of our machines and it was sickening. The reason they took them is because people are saying that the drinks and school lunches are making their kids obese. How is that making them fat, when they go home and drink a 24 pack of cokes everyday. I am rambling now, but i am really pissed about it. We also cant bring our own drinks. If we have a party or something all we can have is fruit!!!!!!!! It is so depressing. I am 112lbs, i shouldnt have to drink a ******* diet coke!!!!!!

um that is just like the people who sue mcdonalds because they are fat! I don't want sympathy but no one makes the fat kids buy the drinks. Besides that, they are still serving fried chicken everyday so what is the difference?

The BOE is protecting it's *** due to the astronomical number of frivolous lawsuits filed by morons unwilling to take responsibility for thier own actions. Is it fair? NO! Is it a good decision on the BOE's part? YES! Look at all the ridiculous lawsuits that have been filed and won... Fat kid's lazy mom takes junior to the doctor and the doctor says... you're kid has diabetes from drinking too much soda! Fat kid's mom says it's the schools fault because they sell it there and promote the sale of it. Since the school is the legal custodian of the child during school hours, fat kid's mom calls the cheesy lawyer she sees on TV at 2am between twinkies and paid programming and thinks, hey that suck all lawyer is right, it's not my fault I raised a lazy, irresponsible, unhealthy, diabetes having fat kid: IT'S THE SCHOOLS FAULT! Wallah... stupid lawsuit, stupid settlement, fat kid rejoices in the new found wealth by being able to order Dominoes any time he wants along with a free 2 litre pop. Look out Dominoes!

They blew it, they should have taken out the diet coke, left in the poweraid. You need to drink water, it's not good to just drink poweraid all the time.

The school board is trying to set a good example to get kids to eat and drink right. What parents allow kids to do at home the school board cannot control. I know it is a pain but the school board is becoming pro-active in something for a change.

Fruit is a good thing, it is healthy. The other stuff should never have been in the schools in the first place.

they can do it as long as it was voted on and it seems they can do all they want but we will still drink what we want at home, bring ur poweraid to school. life is always unfair get use to it now rather than later!!
