You should not lose 30 pounds. Are you kidding? You would weigh 95 pounds! You would be underweight.
If you're unhappy with the way you look, try to lose 10 or 15 pounds. That would be a much healthier weight for your size.

Hi
This plan helped me loose weight so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx
Good luck

Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. Here is how it works. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.
But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.
So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. They want you to become obese so you will buy lots of their foods. This is called GOOD BUSINESS. Remember the above (not on site) and see site below to re-learn how to eat so you can be thin and fit for life.

30 pounds in six months? It sounds like a reasonable and realistic goal.
First, find out how many calories you eat to maintain your current weight. If you eat 2500 calories per day and do not gain any weight, then 2500 calories per day is your maintenance caloric intake.
Now, bear with me for some math. A pound of fat is made up of approximately 3500 calories. This means if you ate 500 calories less than your maintenance caloric intake level, you'll lose a total of 3500 calories in a week; guess what that number looks exactly like; yes, the caloric composition of a POUND of FAT = 3500 kcal!
So here's an example.
Tony weighs 200 pounds. Tony's maintenance caloric intake is 3000 calories per day (i.e. if Tony ate 3000 calories each day, he would not gain a single pound of fat or weight in general, hypothetically.) Tony decides to lose weight. Tony's target weight loss is 30 pounds in 6 months.
Here's what Tony has to do.
Tony eats 2500 calories (500 below maintenance) per day to lose a pound per week. Tony reaches a plateau, so to speak, and he can no longer lose weight with 2500 calories per day (at this point, Tony has lost some weight and his maintenance caloric intake is no longer 3000 calories per day.) Tony decides to cut 200 more calories out of his daily diet and shoots for 2300 calories per day; Tony starts to see a pound of fat coming off every week once again. Tony finally reaches his weight loss goal.
You can always add exercise to your diet to help you burn additional calories. If running at 6mph for 30 minutes burns 400 calories, you'll can compensate for the additional 100 calories by dieting.
Above is the scientific approach to weight loss. However, if you are like me, counting calories probably does not interest you very much. Here's a solution...
Eat 3/4 of what you normally eat each day. Exercise and burn at least 300 calories in a workout, please. You'll definately lose weight. If you begin to see a plateau, find out how much you can eat and still get away without gaining a single pound of weight. Eat 3/4 of your newly-configured-maintenance-amount-of-food-intake and exercise. I guarantee you that you'll lose a good bit of weight. It's as simple as that as long as you don't have other health conditions that hinder you from losing weight.
If you didn't bother reading a single word from my post yet want to learn how to lose weight. I'll sum it up in a single sentence: eat less, exercise daily, and sleep well. I hope you lose that weight!

I was in your same situation. What I did and it work, stop drinking soda (if you do), drink water, and limit yourself to one serving every time you eat. I did the same thing and I will never regret it. Run a little bit and that will help too.
