Your mum tends to over-react???

prob because you're afraid that what you tell her will disappoint her and you don't want to hurt her. Moms are tougher than you think and remember they were your age once too. I'm sure that whatever you want to tell her, she will be able to offer you some sound advice, once the initial shock is over! Don't be afraid of your Mom, she's the one who loves you more than anything in the world and i'm sure she would feel hurt if she knew that you could not open up to her. I hope you find the courage to do so. Good luck.

It depends on your relationship. With me, she doesn't need to know everything. But let her know what she wants to, trust is important. Otherwise, it's much easier to confide in a close friend. If trust is still an issue, try a completely random Internet contact, thus providing total anonymity.

It's best to be open with your mom as best as possible. As mom myself, I always tried to encourage my daughter to talk to me about anything. It keeps the bond strong between mother and child. It helps too if your mom is opened minded. Find ways to talk to her so she will open up too. Remember, moms aren't mean, they just love you and want the best for you. But moms aren't always right either. Don't be afraid to talk about important things. You need to communicate with someone who is close. She won't steer you wrong.

Cause you've figured out isn't helpful she just tells you a lot of information you don't need. You're about to figure out that your advice is the only advice that matters

Probably because you have anxiety about her judging you in a bad way, or messing up a close relationship by saying something you shouldn't.

You value her opinion and don't want her to think less of you or she's not very open-minded and you're afraid you're going to get in trouble.

You might be scared that you will get spank.
You might be scared that she won't be please at you.
You might be scared that she might be disappointed at you.
You might be scared that she won't agree with you.

Well, my advise to you is that, just open up and talk to her. You will never know what her reaction is if you never tell her. :)

I COULD GO TO MY MOM WITH ANYTHING BECAUSE SHE MADE ME FEEL LIKE I COULD. SOME STUFF I JUST DIDN'T THOUGH BECAUSE I KNEW IT WAS WRONG, OR IT WAS EMBARASSING, OR BECAUSE THEN SHE'D BE ABLE TO FIGURE OUT SOMETHING ELSE I WAS DOING.

Perhaps you don't trust her.

Perhaps she's let you down in the past or judged you.
