nothing. but it takes a lot more than 2-3 weeks to see real results. Up the sit ups to 100 per night (do 5 sets of 20) and give it 6-8 weeks and you will see results

Like everyone else has said, 20 sit ups is simply not enough. On top of that, you should not exercise (it is not a strenuous activity, so you should be fine) directly before going to bed.

As for what you can do, if you cannot do more than 20 in a row, do them in sets. So do three sets of 20 with a short break between each.

A friend told me that if you really want to see a difference, you should never put your back down to the floor, you should always keep it elevated while doing them.

Poor you, 20 are not enough! Go with at least 3 sets of 20: one on each side, one set in the middle) and reduce your food portions a little bit. You will normally see the results after a month and a half, at least, some even say 10 weeks.

Okay, but are you losing weight? They best time to exercise is in the morning. You could be not pushing yourself enough. 20 sit ups are really nothing. Try doing at least 60 to get an impact. try other things also. Standing up leg exercises also help tune your stomach up. Check womans world magazine, it isn't an old peoples magazine it has interesting facts in it all the time, expecially about dieting right, losing weight, and staying fit.

Well, first of all, you could up the number of sit ups.....but you shouldn't do more than 60 in one sitting, you could strain your muscles. I think that you should change up your exercises every other night, that way your muscles are not getting used to the same repetition. There are so many abdominal work outs to check out! Oh, and one more thing, try to use some light dumbell weights while you work out, it really helps tone you up. (if you don't have weights, use canned food, it works just as well lol)

You might not do the sit ups the right way. And 20 is not enough, you need to do 20 up, with your hands on your ears, and 20 oblique ones, where you twist to the side and repeat 20 to the other side. Also watch your breathing, Blow out when going down, breath in going up and pull your stomach muscles in while breathing out when you go down

I'd try to do more than this/not sit-ups. I'd also try it at different times of the day.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. That stuff is stubborn. Why don't you increase to 25.
