"The Private Police Force is threatening to actually detain illegal immigrants.
"They will be handcuffed to the Oak Trees," according to the group's Web site, so they can be picked up by authorities.
"Don't treat this website lightly," the group states. "We will make Citizens Arrests on Illegal Aliens. We will File Criminal and Civil Complaints if you Hire or House an Illegal. If you have sold a vehicle to an illegal, we will prosecute you under the DMV law too. If you house an illegal, we will also prosecute you under the Zoning Laws."
"The names and photos of those who oppose the group's efforts will be posted on the Web site, www.privatepoliceforce.com, according to a statement on the site. The names and photos of known illegal-immigrant workers will also be posted, the statement says.
Also, arrests will be recorded on video and offered for viewing on the Web site..."
What do you think?

I think I confused people. These are not the Minutemen it is a separate group that is hiring private police, apparently.

This is NOT the Minutemen, I meant to say that we all know the Minutemen, and I support them. Here is a new group (not Minutemen) that actually intends to detain them. The more physical it gets the more uneasy I get, but on the other hand, some of the residents are talking about illegals of the wrong sort camping in the hills nearby and shooting into the neighborhood, and stealing things.

Sounds good on paper ... but I'd really like to know more about them before I can judge ... so let's say I'm sitting on the fence on this one until I learn more ....

Well, considering the fact that they're mostly made up of either racist people, blue-collar workers, and or people of immigrant ancestry *cough* Hispanic Americans *cough*...
I think I'll comment by saying: These people have the right to protect a land that is theirs (even though they stole it back when the first people were from Europe)... and the Minutemen are technically vigilantes who believe their work will actually cause a movement...
While little Minutemen and complaining Americans (I'm American by the way) say this and that about this situation...
It'll never end.... As long as people need cocaine, heroin, and marijuana... then there will be illegal immigration... it will NEVER stop.

I think they are a reaction to so many illegal aliens entering the US and they will probably grow or more groups like them will spring up.From what I hear they have caused no one harm, only pointing illegals out to authorities. the real problem is Mexico for the most part. Mexico is a corrupt state as the recent elections show, I know many mexicans and they know there is no hope that the government will ever represent the people. Its all about the money in Mexico and getting more that way here in the US.

I don't mind private individuals or groups keeping tabs on the border, or looking out for illegal border crossings. That's no different than the average neighborhood watch.
The question is, what do they do when they see someone. The actions described above in your quote more reflect a group that intends to take the law into their own hands, and that doesn't understand how the law actually works. Add weaponry to that mix, and it's a potentially dangerous combination.
Not having met or talked with any individuals, I'll reserve judgment on how much of their platform is bravado, and how much is fanaticism.

they could't be vigilantes as they don't in good condition the definition by way of their moves. A vigilante is someone who takes enforcement of regulation or moral code into their personal fingers. they are not implementing they are only observing violations of the regulation and reporting them. it truly is talked about as being an effective citizen. Their motivations seem patriotic , the protection of their united states, so patriot is.

On there website, it reads......
Form a Private Police Force in Your Area
To the many groups who would like to establish a similar force as ours – we will help you. First, you should consult with an Attorney who specializes in Constitutional and Labor Law. You will have no problem in obtaining lawyers, police officers, even government authorities to volunteer their services. This is not about making money – it is your Citizenry Duty!
" We are not racists. We are Americans for America. We want the Mexicans to go home and form a responsible government that can build Free Enterprise so they can work and build their country. We don’t want them taking over our homeland. " - the Captain
Border Inspections entering the U.S. are also “a joke.” They close down for several hours during the night. The walkie talkie cell phone Coyotes load up their vans and cross with no problem. You tell us if that’s Enforcement or Payola. Hundreds of vans cross each night packed with illegals six high; they drive twenty miles inland where they meet with cars to transport them directly to La Cresta, Tenaja and Communities throughout the south west. The going Coyote Express Rate is $1400. To them, it’s not much. They’ll sell thieved goods and they get their money back in a week or two. They just don’t thieve in our area, they hit Wildomar, Murrieta and Temecula too, but the collection center is in our canyons.
§20.20. Citizens Arrest; When, Circumstances.
A private person may arrest another;
(a) For an offense committed or attempted in his presence.
(b) When the person arrested has committed a felony, although not in his presence.
(c) When a felony has been in fact committed, and he has reasonable cause for believing the person arrested to have committed it.
§20.25. Arresting Person May Summon Aid.
Any person making an arrest may orally summon as many persons as he deems necessary to aid him therein.
§20.50. Forced Entry to Make Arrest Allowed after Notice, and Refusal.
(a) To make an arrest, whether with or without a warrant, a peace officer may break open the door or window of any house in the which the person to be arrested is, or in which the officer has reasonable cause for believing him to be, if, after giving notice of his authority and purpose, he is refused admittance.

This kind on stuff always happens when the government doesn't do their job, they don't bother with the illegals in San Diego, in fact they find them places to live. The Border Patrol no's exactly where they are, but they don't do anything, I like the minute men, but I don't no anything about this group. Are they acutally police officers moonlighting. If they are police officers then they can arrest them. But then they will probabley let the illegals sue the police officers, like the illegal that is sueing the 2 Border Partol officers.

I have checked out their site before and let me just say I was impressed !! They (citizens) will have to watch every move they make, but I like how they are trying to take back their city/town !! I said it before and will say it again.... These people ROCK and it makes me want to move there !!!!!
I love this part of their site !!...............
Shame on You
Americans talk about being a Nation of Laws. We’re becoming a nation of law breakers! Shame on America. Shame on George Bush who won’t enforce the law. Shame on the Border Patrol.
Soon America may be in chaos as those illegals import their corrupt ways and their culture which is nothing more than dog eat dog stealing and payola. Do you want to pay for their multiple childrens education, free healthcare at our hospitals, etc. They have no work ethic and they hate Americans. Do you want a Socialist State where no one cares and there is no pride with Americans forced to live like third world countries. Mud huts are next - garage your truck, because it may soon be in Mexico.
If you don’t see it that way, shame on you for being naive. Shame on you for being complacent and doing nothing; it’s destroying America.

This is an armed group of reactionaries. If they point guns at people, it is a crime. If they shoot, it is murder. Under Bush's wide definition, they are definitely a terrorist group, and I would not be surprised if, assuming they are competent enough to find any illegal aliens crossing the border, this could end in murder.

I think the Minutemen are true to there name. and "ancestory.". They are standing up to a problem our government is having problems with seeing. They are upholding their rights set forth to the American people. More power to them. Let them do the job others can't and let them publiclly humiliate those that oppose the popular concensus. Vigilante justice is not a new form of justice, just a different form that is more down to earth with the people they swear to protect. They have interests for themselves, their familys, their prosperiety, And I commend them for it.
