What your Parakeet has are called pin feathers. No worries :) . They're what grow out of your guy's head when new feathers come in. They're made of Keratin - basically the same stuff that your nails are made of. They're really itchy when they start growing, so your guy might get a bit cranky. They start off as dark spikes and with time the very tips will become pale and eventually flake off. In the end you'll have a somewhat dusty bird that looks like it has a bad case of dandruff with lots of new feathers. You can help your parakeet with their pin feathers by gently rolling the spike tips between your fingers. Be careful though. Pinfeathers are very tender and hurt if they're bumped!

They are more than likely pinfeathers. When a bird molts or loses its feathers, it grows new ones, and they come out in a papery or plasticky covering. These drop off as the new feather develops, but they are very uncomfortable to the bird, so he may be cranky. If you could preen him, gently touching his feathers and doing as other birds in the wild would do, I'm sure he would appreciate it very much!

Those are new feathers. The feather shaft is in a papery covering which will slowly be removed to expose the new feather.

sure. It won't convey Mr. Jingles lower back to existence, however, except you're taking an extension twine and cord the beneficial facet as much as his left leg and the detrimental facet as much as his real leg. Then plug him in. make confident your mom is around to call the fireplace branch in case you're making a mistake and cord him up incorrectly, however.
