Maybe you're having a growth spurt or maybe you're depressed. Maybe you just require a little more sleep than everybody else. It wouldn't hurt to go to the Dr. & have some blood tests done to check things like your thyroid level and blood sugar. Sometimes those things can make you more tired than usual. I use to be very tired all day, everyday & I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism.
You might also try to have some bedtime rituals like always going to bed & waking up at the same time, even on weekend. Maybe try yoga or meditation & hot herbal tea before bed.

the idea that everyone needs 8 hours a night is a myth. Some people only need 6, some people need 10. I don't know how old you are but teenagers need more sleep than adults. Lets say you (as an adult - if you aren't already) are going to be one of those people who need 10 hours of sleep a night, now if you are a teenager, your need you would be even higher so you could potentially sleep 12 hours a day just to feel rested.

You might be suffering from depression, or you might just be getting too much sleep a night. If you sleep too much, it makes your body tired pretty much all the time, and you become very sluggish. I would check with a doctor so that they can figure out exactly what it is. Good Luck!

You might be sleeping too much. You might be getting dehydrated: Fatigue is one symptom of that. Are you eating good food? Poor nutrition is another cause of fatigue. How well are you sleeping? If you're too hot or too cold. or if your head and neck aren't properly supported, not well at all.

Or do you have sleep apnea? That can interfere too, without ever waking the person all the way. But a doctor would have to diagnose that.

Good luck!

Have you had your thyroid checked? It may be that you have an underactive thyroid. That alone will make you sluggish and tired all the time. Other symptoms include dry skin, weight gain, dry course hair and falling out of the hair, and constipation. Have your doctor run a blood test to determine this.

Sometimes when you sleep too much, you feel tired after. You could try exercising as well. You may also be depressed or have chronic fatigue syndrome.
