I got a book form the library of gongress gift show a whole 12 pages of benfranklin quotes and yes i think he said this.....

I think it was Ben being Ben. He knew that the right to persue happiness was supposed to be the right to persue land/property/money, but Thomas Jefferson decided to be more elloquent (hence money=happiness). So he is saying that we have the right to get rich, but you have to do it for it to happen.

I love Ben Franklin, he was so colorful

These are also 2 quotes very appropriate for today.

You can have whatever you want, as long as you dont ask it from me? Just joking... It basically states that you can achieve whatever you want to be, your dreams will have no limits under the constitution... you must just work hard for it. (Unlike where I come from: You can work as hard as you can and NEVER catch your dream... You are SO lucky)
