Feng Shui is worthless. It's nothing but the latest in designer cons that some people capitalize on to rake in your hard earned cash. I would STRONGLY recommend going to the library and checking out some of the ideas behind Feng Shui. If you honestly believe the principles behind Feng Shui are sound, then perhaps crack cocaine is something you may want to try as a way to enrich your life as well.

You will do much better for yourself by hiring a real decorator who is trained in the actual principles of design than by wasting time and money on a Feng Shui "expert" or "master". Most of these clowns have never studied design principles, ergonomics, color, lighting, texture layering, or many of the hundreds of aspects of interior design.

They exist as salesmen. Here is the basic scenario. They come into your home and compliment you on what a lovely home you have, great furniture, blah, blah, blah.

As they walk through the house, something just doesn't seem right. They feel some bad "vibe" somewhere in the house. As they walk around telling you how cool they are as a Feng Shui practitioner, they will eventually figure out that you need some little statue or water feature in a certain place in your home. Not only will this give you harmony in that little corner of the home, but they just happen to have one in the car! (Lucky you!)

As they wander aimlessly, they will suggest moving some furniture for a better flow of "chi" through the house. That's part of the package... Then they will suggest some other little lucky token for you to tuck into another corner, a little more expensive than the last one, but this does seem to be your lucky day because they have one of those handy too!

They will continue to wander through your home, consulting their mystical bagwa until they've decided theyve sold you all the worthless crap you're willing to buy from them. Then they'll charge you a few hundred bucks for their "expertise" before they leave.

My experience with Feng Shui is educational. I'm an interior decorating graduate. Feng Shui was not in the lesson plan because it is not an interior design field. Feng Shui is generally taught as holistic, or alternative, medicine. The principles it espouses are shrouded in mysticism and obscure symbolism. They are no more likely to improve your life than strapping 1000 bottle rockets to your @ss is likely to shoot you into outer space.

the best way to learn is shop for a good master who will teach you for a fee. remember expensive does not always mean more knowledge; and more hyped does not mean that he/ she is more experienced. it is better if you can find a master who studied chinese traditional medicine, bec they are complimentary to each other.

you can visit the website of master peter leung: www.fengshuisos.com

but i definitely do not recommend taking classes from caucasian teachers; besides they've learned from the chinese. why not learn from the master rather than from their disciples.

and i do not recommend going through the bookstore nor the internet. because either you end up with lillian too ('s books and courses) (again, disciple, not master) who learned from master yap cheng hai, or the black sect fengshui which is not authentic chinese fengshui, it is like fengshui made easy that does not work!
