I have an 8-week old Golden Retriever and I have noticed that sometimes his right front leg will shake. He will just be sitting and it will tremor for a few seconds until he starts walking again. Can this be just from exercise, like overexcited muscles? Anyone else experienced this?

He could easily have injured himself; and no, he's not scared of anything...except the kind of door stoppers that make that loud noise when you hit them...;)...and those he just tries to attack...

Thanks for the advice, I am going to the vet tomorrow for a shot, and I'll mention it.

I have a 5 month old golden retriever and his right, and left front legs tend to shake when he is sitting. I expect it to be just because he is still growing.

I have a 3 year old male airedale terrier and his legs, both hind and front have always had tremors from the time I brought him home as a puppy. The vet says it could be from so many different things that it is practically impossible to tell. There are no other signs or symptoms, however.

I would take your dog to a vet. He could have an injury that is causing his leg to shake. sometimes young dogs hurt limbs while playing, and will ignor the pain.

Um, I have a rabbit that sort of twitches occasionally, but I don't think that helps you...um...it could be just the way your dog is. If it doesn't occur frequently or doesn't seem to bother him, then it doesn't seem like something you really have to worry about. I would watch it, though. Not closely, but just be aware of it. He may just grow out of it.
