I agree in part with this. If you are always on their back.....they will revolt. If you are too lenient.....they end up being assh*les. It is a fine line between the two.

Adults are always "bugging" their kids in hopes that they are learning the lessons of life. While it does seem on the side of constant nagging, a parent sometimes does have to keep repeating to stress the importance of the issue. When the children finally leave home, a parent hopes that all the lessons of survival have been taught and learned by their child so that they can know independence. And finally, a parent hopes that mistakes made by the parent in the learning process will not be repeated by their child.
To just leave a child alone will not help them to prepare for their future and how to deal with it and the problems that can go along with it.

Parents need to bug their kids. Kids left alone turn into poor adults.

Kids don't grow up well if left on their own. Someone has to teach them right from wrong, wash their clothing, feed them.
I know it doesn't seem like it, but once you have a child, you realize that you have never felt such a love in all your life. It is intense and overpowering. We don't all know how to parent, so some are better than others....but you have no idea how it hurts to love and care that much for a child that just wants you out of their life and business.

Wrong...a parents job is to make sure when the children leave home they are responsible adults. They respect themselves and other. They can take care of themselves. They are educated. They give something back to the community.
Making sure to the best of your ability to raise productive adults is the most important job you will ever have & to do it half a**ed is a dereliction of duty.

Parents have a responsiblity to raise their kids with manners, respect for others, and moral conscience. If they were just piggy banks to the kids, the fabric of society might as well unravel. Kids don't know everything! I'm not even a parent.

It depends what kind of bugging they're doing, b/c some bugging is necessary to keep kids on track, but otherwise, I guess u can say just let them be.

It's about getting them to grow up as mature, responsible people with a good common sense. If my parents had let me do whatever I wanted when I was smaller, I'd be a terrible person right about now.

I think you are a kid!
We just want our kids to grow up jail-free and be productive members of society.
When thety dress & act like goths, or pierce & tattoo the hell outta themselves, that looks unlikely!
Just let US alone! We're doing our best...
