I picked my habanero pepper off the vine about 10 days ago and it's getting squishy. Is it still ok to eat?

It's definitely on its way out. I have found that a little softness is not bad, but if it's oozing anything, or looks runny, already-cooked or snotty when you cut it, then don't use it.

O.K. maybe.....but not GOOD!!! Next time don't wait so long!!! Pick em and eat em!!!
