I removed this because I figure the information would only be relevant to an intelligent person who is highly active in the show and breeding world... and, therefore, would already know all of the related information

That's called 'inbreeding' and it is not recommended. Outbreeding tends to cancel out a lot of genetic defects because many of them are recessive,, not dominant,, so it would take both parents for the offspring to inherit that defect. Chances are much higher in a brother and sister for both parents to have the same recessive genes and so the offspring would inherit it. some breeders have done this on purpose to get certain good recessive genes, but the bad came with the good... as with collies having eye problems. This is why 'mutts' are often very good dogs, even if you can't show them.

Absolutely not. There are too many problems in some breeds to add to it by breeding dogs related to one another!

Never. Reputable breeders will never breed to any animal within 5 generations of each other. You obviously have zero experience and haven't a clue what you are doing. This isn't a game. It's people like you who are causing our lawmakers to make laws making it illegal to own unspayed or unneutered dogs.

I was told by a breeder that it was not. That not only does it increase the chance of genetic defects, but that the do will have increased chances of having the "bad" aspects of the breed. For instance, more aggression in aggressive breeds.

remember animals are not humans. once is ok. don't do daddy to daughters or you may get dogs as dumb as rocks. You have to go down theline quite ways to get three legs, etc. I wouldn'd do it unless the dogs took matters into their own paws. in breeding has long been the norm but not so closly related.

No, when a related dog breeds togather, the puppies will either die at birth, die soon after birth, or be mentally or physically retarted. It's very unwise to inbreed, thats what it's called.

No, thats called inbreeding. It is not a good idea. That is how you end up with puppies that have 3 eyes and 5 legs and die shortly after birth. Don't do that to those animals.

even with the fact that no longer unlawful, they gained't get precise greenback by way of fact the domestic dogs won't be waiting to be registered... and you need to demonstrate at time of sale or THAT nulls the sale. it relatively is recommended to sit down down your loved ones down for a family contributors communicate approximately genetics and matters with proscribing the gene pool and the better probability that recessive characteristics grow to be dominant... it incredibly is the comparable reason in human beings instantaneous family contributors are no longer accredited to get married.
