Lack of God in there lives...they answer to no one

I think that for too long, we have had freedom to engage in so many distractions, that the discipline of morality is no longer able to constrain us.

We've been told that there are too many options and paths to success, that no one option can guarantee a good life, and that the pursuit of happiness depends so much on the individual.

These beliefs make morality just another mere option of things to use in determining our everyday choices. And worse still, we are bombarded daily with examples of immorality, while these examples are often given a very casual treatment in the media.

You ask us to be serious, but really, do we have to be? What if we don't feel like? That, in a nutshell, is how many people feel about morality.

because many are mislead by the media that having material gains is all that can make us happy and accepted by the society.
we are all involved in it too, we, as the not morally corrupt tolerated such actions to take place.we have not showed that being spiritual is much better in terms of harmony with the society.
I also think that the kind of religion in certain areas have not done their job, reason probably is the laws of the state is not in accordance with the law of religion, they have conflicting views. The state does not care where the sources of taxes as long as they get something.
I'm not blaming christianity in some ways, I'm just amazed why the majority of inmates in prison cells are christians while this is located in India which is generally populated by hindus and muslims.

I don't believe everyone is morally bankrupt.....but if you examine the western entertainment ideal... the skewed views we have concerning relationships, and sex....our business practices since the start of the larger economic systems...there is enough real evidence that it is a path that man has continually walked, with the idea of the wanting to be king of my own destiny attitude....
This only allows every single one of us to be tempted into ignoring the needs of others and the consequences of actions haphazardly executed..

I'm not, but I would say the reason is religion because the hope of Jesus coming back for us, seams like a fairytale more than ever. Another reason is the religion divide us and we have become confused about god and with all that we see, we know there is none, god is beginning to die because people are starting to doubt he exist. Just to name a couple

I don't think all people are. But it's my belief that the media contributes to it. Movies, print ads, magazines...all promote a buy this, wear this, you need to be beautiful, young and desirable sort of mentality. There are more and more groups of people who insist on being accepted the "way they are". Well...the bible tells me to expect this. In the end times, it says....not only will people be committing sins, they will encourage and applaud others who do the same.

Not surprised at anything.

Well we have TV and sites like this, it makes what is wrong seem acceptable. When kids keep seeing kids on TV, that are 15 and sexually active, they come to believe that all 15 year olds are sexually active.

Then they read some of the filth on here and again they think it is normal. It is tough for Mom and Dad to beat this.

You become what you focus on.As we are exposed to more and more mass media, we hear of all the moral decay because that's what sells the media.
In reality there are still plenty of moral and ethical people out there, it's just that they are boring to hear about when your looking for materialistic entertainment.

People were born in sin and sin reigns supreme in the world.
When people decide to not follow God's laws then moral bankruptcy is the result.
Remember the letter "I" is right in the middle of the word "SIN".

Because of the media I think. The worlds media has created a civilization of persons who are jaded to all of the things that used to be considered awful and unspeakable if not unimaginable.
