Well, if you've never spoken to him before, remember that first impressions are lasting impressions. Guys like ego boosts - so a good way to make a good first impression is to find out what he's into and act like you think it's great. For instance - he plays baseball and he has a game coming up. Ask him - even if you already know - what time it starts, or where to get tickets, or something like that. Then throw in a compliment - like - "I've heard you're an awesome 3rd baseman. I can't wait to see you play" - or if you're feeling more bold - "I can't wait to see you in your baseball pants." :) Just make him feel good, and if you can make a joke or flirt a little - then it's even better. And make sure you smile. That's not too obvious - it'll just make him take a second glance at you. :)

Start slowly. When you see him in the hallway, smile at him. Eventually work your way to saying "hi". You could use the old "tried and true" of having a friend tell him that you'd like to get to know him better. Go easy, guys don't usually like obviously aggressive girls. Show your interest in a friendly way.

Why not make it obvious? The whole "hard to get" thing is such a waste of time that most guys I know aren't going to screw around with - not when they have other important things to do.

just say hello, and follow it up with some basic conversation.
Don't make it that big a thing, but just start talking.
