Why am I seeing so many butterflies?

Question

As of lately I am seeing so many butterflies....and they don't migrate or anything close to where I live. And even if they did I would have noticed them before because I've lived here all my life. I just don't understand why they're around all of a sudden. I don't think its important to the matter but I've been exploring outside of my "religion" ( I was raised Catholic) and have been reading about the occult. And I think I've found the love of my life. I just don't understand what is happening. My boyfriend has been seeing alot of them also and he's in another state right now. So maybe it does have to do with him. I don't know. Any ideas?

I live in Ohio......Near Lake Erie so I'm not exactly close to Texas. And Im not saying I'm part of the occult or that Im not Catholic anymore either, I'm simply stating in the past few days since I read that book and it caught my interest this has also been happening.

global warming - we are seeing a lot more than usual in our area...also - with all the rain this summer there are more flowers and butterflies like flowers

I don't know where you live but, here in Texas, on the Gulf Coast, I saw millions of small black with white dots and a little orange butterflies one day 2 weeks ago. I talked to someone on the mainland 45 miles away and they were thick there, too. I figured they were migrating but, have never seen that here either. I know that in October up in the Texas Hill Country I see migrating Monarchs every year but, this was unusual. I am a Catholic, too. Don't mess with the occult. I saw the same thing and I've been married for 30 years. If you have found the love of your life it wasn't the butterflies but, I sure would like to learn more about what we saw on a scientific basis. Wish I knew where you live. some have self assurance a butterfly is an indication of the different area, possibly a loved one. also it is an indication of transformation because the butterfly has switched over from a cocoon state. possibly you opt to seem into area of your existence that needs replacing. very last, yet no least...some time previous even as Christianity grow to be transforming into universal and being Pagan grow to be transforming into deadly (persecution) Pagans might want to placed on an emblem of the butterfly or slightly of jewellery in the style of a butterfly so different Pagans might want to recognize their brothers/sisters.

It is so strange that you asked this question and I saw it, because today I was told that butterflies represent freedom in nature. It is sort of like a lifting of burdens, so that you are light enough to float on the wind and fly away. This, I think is a good sign for you and your new found love. What you see around you is a reflection of what is going on inside of you. Butterflies are always a good and happy sign.

I've been seeing a lot of Monarch butteflies and other types lately too. I believe it's just because of how warm it is this summer-more flowers, you get the idea. While you could be right, I personally think that it can be explained scientifically.

Well at least where I am there are A LOT around this year so maybe they had an easy winter and a lot of eggs survived.

I have been seeing alot of them too, but I chalk it up to "butterfly" bushes being popular plant to grow this year.
